If a secure fence was built along the Mexican border, who would benefit the most?

Is it true that George Bush's brother Marvin Bush owns a company that would build the fence, and therefore make a killing building it.

Answer:
my first thought was the fence contractor(before i read the 2nd sentence) . i dont know anything about marvin bush
I am sure...that's probably the only way that it will get built.
the aliens would be the major beneficiaries and then Marvin Bush
Marvin? Even if the fence cost 100 billion dollars, and it all went to the George Bush Is Awesome Memorial, I wouldn't care. It's the best thing that can be done. The day a fence was completed would become a national holiday and everyone would get the day off and barbecue.
what is your source for that information?

If it were true - good, keep the illegals out. If not - bummer.
The problem is it's pretty much impossible to build a fence that would actually keep them out at all places. There are rivers and very uneven land that would make it crazy.
youve got it, whether the Bush connexion is true or not, the biggest benefit would go to those paid to construct it
ANY time the government tells us we need to beef up this or that, most of the time its because the ones involved have people ready to start work on the project at a set price, this price has a set amount of the overall price to do the job reverting back to the people needing it done, the pay offs may come in the form of beach front homes cars or other thing such as stocks in company's, this is bought with money from the contractors company funds, so it a tax wright off latter, this also makes it legal, so if anyone ever trys to frame them, their is no direct proof of anything, now your going to say that's crazy they would not be doing that'' but every day on every part of the planet earth they are, sorry to burst your bubble, have a nice day.
I doubt a fence would keep people from immigrating to the US illegally. The Chinese built a pretty big wall, you may have heard of it. And while it worked for a while, the Mongol hordes it was designed to stop eventually found a way around and over it.

A wall would be a bit more effective if it was built like the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea. Basically, lots of razor wire and land mines. However, the Korean Peninsula is only like 70 or 80 miles wide, whereas the US/Mexico border in about 1,200. The effectiveness of such a zone would be lessened by the great expanse of land to be covered. Plus, a DMZ would be considered inhumane by groups like the ACLU and Amnesty International, and would probably be overturned through a legal challenge anyway.
