Most of the people of Mexico have a rich and wonderful heritage. The Spaniards, the native Indians, Jews and others have been in Mexico for centuries.
A individual Mexican is who he thinks he is...just like here in the States. If your parentage is Irish and German...how do you identify yourself? If you are Native American, Italian, German and English, how do you identify yourself.
Race is simply not an issue. There are very, very few "pure" races left on the face of the earth. Exploration, Invasion, Wars have all contributed to the racial mixing of most peoples of the world.
What you can do and what others can do is to stop looking at the color of a persons skin to judge or condemn. Every person has worth and is important to the grand scheme of things.
Only petty people look at petty things.
They are called mestizos. In Mexico, any caoucasion looking person does not consider themselves white, they consider themselves Mexican.
I'm glad you didn't use Hispanic in your question. Hispanic is a term the Spanish people consider to be theirs alone, and have for centuries, well before any conquering of Mexico. It is offensive to them for other groups to use the term.
The cultural divide between Spain and Mexico is very broad. I doubt Spain would want them.

Anyone (Mexican, US citizen, Colombian, Cuban, Canadian, etc.) in this continent who does not have at least 50% of Amerindian heritage should go to the continent whence the majority of her/his genes originate.
That is the bottomline.
PS: My ancestry is of pure Amerindian stock, attested for 17 generations. There is not a single drop of European contamination in my blood.

Mexicans are Mexicans . No Spanish people are for SPAIN. We have nothing to do with Mexico!!!!!!!!... No we don't have to go anywhere. We are more welcome here! I'm Spanish and Cherokee and i was born here in the great USA!!! We may be consider Caucasian but at least we know where we come from!!

I am a Spaniard born here, and I think that Mexicans are mexicans not spaniards. There is a huge difference between the Spaniards and the Latinos.
