I live in iran. I just wanted to know what others think about Iran cause am really confused.?

You have nothing to worry about and you should not be confused. The US is already in talks with Iran on important issues but these talks are disguised by including other parties such as Iraq. The discussions however are very much focused on US/Iran relations for now and in the future.
I live in UK and am British, however, I am very much aware of the US stand on issues of religion and faith in God etc. To be clear about this, you need to know that at no time ever in it's history, has a government of the United States said anything, or made any statement which could remotely be called anti-Islam, anti-semitic or indeed anti-Christian etc. If anything, the US government and UK government have been very supportive of Islam. The British Foreign Office is pro-Arab and therefore presumably pro-Islam. Remember that Lawrence of Arabia was an Arabist and Islamist and an employee of the Foreign Office and MI6. Nothing has changed.
So, we do not have a religious war and no there is no East/West culture conflict going on either. What we have is a war on Terror and winning this war is in the interests of both Iran and the West. For good trade and business a stable situation is of the utmost importance.
It is believed that Iran wants nuclear weapons. Iran says it only wants nuclear power for peaceful purposes. If Iran plays the game according to the rules, it will get much more help on these issues. In reality no one is really opposed to Iran going nuclear. It's all about timing really and who exactly is going to be in charge of any nuclear weapons which may be made.
Let's be honest about it. We in UK have nuclear weapons. No one I know of believes that Iran will not also have nuclear weapons. If we all have nuclear weapons we're are much less likely to use them.
In 1945 the only nation with nuclear weapons was the USA they used two atom bombs to end the war in Japan. Had the Japanese also had atom bombs as well, it is unlikely that the USA would have bombed Japan with atom bombs. There would have been a continuing stand-off, as was the case between the USSR and the Allies at the end of WW2 and the continuing 'Cold War' which followed.
It is not anti-Islam to declare war on Al Qida. They are terrorists in the extreme meaning of the word. Not only do they seek to destroy whole communities and force the people back into the dark ages, they seek domination by murder and death and will stop at nothing to get their way.
For this reason all nations, whether Islamic or not, must come together and unite to win a victory over tyranny which is seriously threatening stability in the world. We have already seen what Al Qida is cabable of, 9/11 etc.
I've got some friends from Iran actually. I've got nothing against the country itself, but the government is pretty dangerous, supplying weapons to the Iraqis.

Hi. I like Iran. I think it has beautiful culture and I think that the majority of Americans really, really don't want to get into a scuffle with you guys. I think that you guys president is a little fanatical, just like ours. I don't like your nuclear weapons thing but I do realise that it is a bit of a double standard since we're not entirely open about ours either. I think it's not very smart to be a leader in the Middle East (since there is already so much controversy and mistrust there) and start a nuclear enrichment program without allowing investigators into your country to watch and make sure it is only being used for the proper cause.
I like Rumi's poetry, which is closely tied to Persian culture. I think Tehran is a beautiful city. I think that you have pretty guys and girls and I LOVE Farsi, I think it's a beautiful language. I hope that we can get over these silly things and realise what's really important in life.
I'm certain that the people of Iran want what we all want, - to to be allowed to get on with our life in peace .
Sadly the Iranian government doesn't subscribe to this philosophy.
I would like to know a cross-section of facts, because the propaganda campaign is bubbling up here in UK, in honour of the New American Century.
P.S. Iraq let inspectors in; it didn't help the Iraqi people.

A country has the right to pursue a nuclear programme for peaceful purposes like power generation. But you should gaurd against the possibility that these weapons might fall into the hands of terrorists, extremist jehadis. If they do, this poses a great danger to the very existance of humanity on this earth.
Iran is good. Iranian people are mostly good. The leaders of Iran are crazy and dangerous!
before the ayatollahs people from iran iranian and americans said it was a wonderful place. then the clerics took over they began to kidnap and kill americans all over the planet so it is now not liked. we hear how women are treated and how children have no safety or protection unlkie the usa and it makes us very angry. we know of thousands of western wives kidnapped and forced against thier will and thier american kids to stay in iran with no education or life. that is horrible.
dogs in the usa have more rights than women in and children do in iran. that we have a problem with.
your leaders are hotheads who espouse death to all they disagree and it keeps going on. the leaders have imposed harsh horrible restriction on themselves for their own powers and make you blame the west.
As long as Iranians are in the news shouting "death to America", and sending weapons to insurgents to kill Americans in Iraq, I will not harbor any affection for that country.

I don't have anything against the Iranian people. I wish your people a happy and prosperous life. I do not want President Bush to order a full scale military invasion of your countrry.
But the problem is, it appears the Iranian government wouldn't mind handing dangerous WMD's or nukes or nuke material to terrorists. That's the problem. Plus when you see on TV that people are constantly in the streets chanting death to America, that makes things a little complicated.
So in some sense, I would feel better if your nuke capacity was knocked out. However, I feel that a major attack on Iran should be out of the question.
By the way, since you posted in the Immigration section, please do not come to America or Europe. We're closed for business. The hot spot to GET RICH is NOW in India and China and I believe Vietnam is an emerging hot spot too. American tech jobs and other jobs are now outsourced overseas. Americans are flying into Indian (I have a friend who's doing this) to train Indians in the IT industry. US and Europe are fading economically compared to India and China.

I like Iranians, I lived in a Munich student hostel where several lived and they are great people;however we in the UK , I mean most UK people, are getting tired of importing the whole world's immigrants to the UK because a greedy Government wants a cheap workforce and is prepared to sell out the UK to get it.My message is we like everybody, we have welcomed enough to come here, but enough is enough.

Most of us want to live in peace. I have no animosity towards the people of Iran. They are manipulated by politicians in the same way that politicians all over the world manipulate the people they are supposed to serve. My problem is with politicians, they are a cancer on the soul of the world that should be surgically removed.
