As to your last sentence, they don't care about those little things. It would increase illegal and legal immigration dramatically, and put the nail in the coffin for our schools and social services.
I've read the bill and the cons are far too many to enumerate. To take one most don't mention, it has a 10 year statute of limitation so that, forget THIS amnesty, if NEW people come in and stay 10 years, the government could no longer bring an action to deport them. That is a rolling amnesty without need for further Congressional vote.
And that won't draw more?

(a) IN GENERAL- Section 3291 of title 18, United States Code, is amended to read as follows:
`SEC. 3291. IMMIGRATION, PASSPORT, AND NATURALIZATION OFFENSES.
`No person shall be prosecuted, tried, or punished for a violation of any section of chapters 69 (relating to nationality and citizenship offenses), 75 (relating to passport, visa, and immigration offenses), or for a violation of any criminal provision under section 243, 266, 274, 275, 276, 277, or 278 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1253, 1306, 1324, 1325, 1326, 1327, and 1328), or for an attempt or conspiracy to violate any such section, unless the indictment is returned or the information filed not later than 10 years after the commission of the offense.'.
(b) CLERICAL AMENDMENT- The table of sections for chapter 213 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking the item relating to section 3291 and inserting the following:
`3291. Immigration, passport, and naturalization offenses.'."

There is no good side to let illegal people come in. The American people will lose their say in almost everything.

If this bill passes, start teaching your kids Spanish because that's where we will be headed. I live in Los Angeles, and the schools are a joke now, the hospitals are drying up because of the costs for these people, crime is out of control thanks to Latino gangs (MS13 should be considered a terrorist organization), and all this for a cheap head of lettuce?
