If a couple living together has a baby ? who""pays for it? the taxpayer?
Answer:
If they're decent, respectable, responsible parents, they will:
a) Get married and raise the child together;
b) Find employment that allows them to support the child;
c) Make arrangements to pay off all the hospital bills, even if they can only afford a few dollars a week;
d) Only accept government assistance in the most dire circumstances.
"Welfare" is not something that should be taken just because it's available from the taxpayers. Still, I would rather see my tax dollars go to pay for the welfare of an innocent young infant other than trillions of dollars being squandered on:
a) An unconstitutional, illegal, unjustifiable, immoral 'war';
b) Government waste, fraud, 'pork' and earmarks;
c) Corporate welfare programs that only serve to pad the bottom lines of giant multi-billion-dollar companies;
d) Excessive salaries, 'perks' and lavish lifetime pensions for useless members of the U.S. Congress;
e) A failed, ineffective, incompetent and unnecessary Department of Homeland Security. -RKO- 07/09/07

What do you mean? If the couple is on welfare and they have a baby?
Are you talking about immigrants? I've seen them medical cards so I would assume our tax dollars are paying for it. And if they get cash and food stamps then technically welfare is paying to raise that child.
Has it crossed your mind that maybe those people could afford to pay for the baby themselves?
What kind of close minded planet do you reside? This happens all the time and their are plenty of non married couples who can afford the child all on their own.
Just because they chose not to marry automatically makes them poor and not thinking about the best interest of their child?
Only if they are smart.
If a couple is on welfare, then yes. However, there are a lot of couples or even, single mothers, who have a baby and do not rely on tax paying citizens to foot the bill.
well I hope "the couple" would be responsible enough to pay for the child themselves. If not find someone to adopt it and maybe they will pay for it.
If "the couple" can't afford to pay for the child's birth I would have serious doubts as to its care after birth.
The father and mother and their families pay for the baby's birth, then the father and mother both contribute to the child's support. Only if the mother is indigent (a small percentage of cases) does welfare get involved, and then it makes no difference whether the couple is married or not. These days welfare is limited to a maximum of five years, and requires the mother and father to work in order to receive it.

Seriously, rather than wasting your time here asking unintelligible questions, please invest at least a little time advancing your English Composition skills prior to the start of the new school year.
Imagine how much better you'll feel about yourself when you're finally able to spell and punctuate your thoughts more accurately.
Good luck!
There are plenty of couples that live together, are not on welfare and pay for their own child or children. And contrary to what much of society seems to think, being married does not automatically make you a good parent.
WELL... IF A COUPLE HAVE A BABY, MOST OF THE TIME BOTH OF THEM RAISE THEIR CHILD. IF THEY APPLY FOR WELFARE THEN YES OUR TAXES WILL PAY FOR THAT CHILD NEEDS.
Sometimes people really do pay their own way.Not all unmarried couples are on welfare. Some people still have self respect.
The parents pay for it..
They pay the hospital bill and they support the child.
The father, if not living with the mother, will pay child support.
Welfare will NOT pay to raise the child. Welfare is a helping hand for people who have hit a rough spot. Not for healthy people who are able to work and support themselves.
