LOL, kind of like what Rodney King said, "Can't we all just get along" Unfortunately, alot of people don't want to see it that way, and it's sad. Based on some of their answers, disgust me, because they won't admit bigotry. But they know deep down they are. I don't knock the reform of immigration, but there is a way to be done without creating animosity.
Just one qq: What if Mexicans (since that's what illegal immigration is generalizing) want to come to this country legally. Those who don't want them coming here illegal will complain about them coming here legally.
Are you talking about the Mexicans who came into California and enslaved raped and then murdered off the Natives here. Will I guess I could be friends with the great grand children as long as they feel sorry for their history in the Atrocity.
The Americans want to have sole ownership of the states and they refuse to accept anything thats out of the norm.
For instance right now they complain that illegals should come to US legally, thats the issue right now, but lets say that Mexicans do start coming to the US legally, then what, what are they going to complain about then?? We dislike Mexicans period. Yeah, I don't see that happening EVER.

Because our country is already overpopulated. White people came to this country only a couple hundred years ago, then moved west and had to deal with diseases, famine, etc. Now that people live long lives, we just dont have room for so many immigrants coming to our country.
Those that initially came to this LAND murdered the natives. After the land became a country, laws were set up by which people from other countries could come in, legally and be protected by the laws of this country.
It is still that way. People come, not to pioneer a land, but to be part of the United States of America.
Being friends is not the issue. It's not about friends or enemies... it's about citizenship. Come and be an American... enjoy the benefits, but make the same sacrifices (taxes). Come be a legal citizen of this country.

first of all there was no law against people coming here.
second of all natives that were in what would become the USA at the time didnt believe they owned the land.
Third, do you know hwat Thanksgiving is? its when the natives welcomed the Europeans and shared food and company with them.
Yes later on those europeans did treat the natives badly. But this was not how it was when they came.
You cannot compare that situation to now.
But yes a humane resolution. Apply and come legally either as a worker or a legal immigrant and obey the laws while in the USA and make at least a small attempt at learning english and you will be welcome.
Because they don't belong here, point blank. They have they're country, we have ours. Are we invading Mexico? I think not. Case closed. Us Americans have to work our azzes off for everything we have. there will always be hate and racial tension as long as people hold a grudge from the past. i was not around when there was slavery, i was not here when the unjust was done to the native Americans. all i can say is we need to try and make it a better world to live in. when i look at some one who is black or brown i don't see skin color, i see a person. i don't wonder if they are legal or illegal. if they are illegal they are the ones who have to worry about being caught. all we Americans ask for is if they are going to come here, they need to do it legally. Americans are tired of their taxes going up to help take care of them. and thanks for the song, now it's playing in my head. i can't remember who sings it. good song.

Your first sentence is false. Are you really trying to say that every one of the Pilgrims and early immigrants were rapist and murderers?
Since that is obviously a stupid and inaccurate statement, it cancels your credibility.
There is evidence that the natives living in America were of European decent and crossed the land bridge.
If I were to use your argument, then Spanish speaking Mexicans are descended from rapists and murderers from Spain that stole the land from the native people already living there.
Do none of you know history ? How friendly would you feel if I moved into your home and bled you all dry of savings, food, the ability to educate your children and ever being able to retire ? You'd put your arms around me and sing why can't we be friends, right ?
Maybe if they came here with good intentions, obeyed the law,weren't racist and they assimilated,we could be.
