I am against illegal immigration, and for tougher legal immigration laws, with actual enforcement! The 9/11 terrorists were legally here, so obviously we have BIG problems with our legal immigration laws, and need tougher screening and verification policies. Illegal immigration is just that, ILLEGAL, and it sets a precedent of that person not becoming a law abiding citizen if granted amnesty for prior illegal activity. I understand, and sympathize with people wanting a better life for themselves and their families, and it makes me proud of my country to know that so many people think that can be done here, but they need to abide and respect our laws and come the right way.

If your a non US citizen and want to come here to work, go to school, ..whatever.I have no problem with that really, because they would be contributing to the betterment of American Society not becoming a burden to it

Illegal. my family does not expect free handouts, but my mom had gone to see a few docs in the past 10 years. all of them told her not to worry about the lump in her neck. well finally she went to the university to see some specialists. come to find out she had a huge tumor growing in her neck and had to come out right away . After all was said and done she was unable to move her right arm and could not work and yet the hospital was going to harassing her for her to pay ( she had no insurance because she owned a small business) she owes over 200,000 dollars. yet illegals can come here and don't pay a dime. where is the justice in that?

I'm for metered, controlled immigration with background checks - you know, like it's supposed to be, under the law.
I am against watching my nation fall through it's own cracks. America is its own worst enemy, and has been since 1986 or longer. I am friends with immigrants, from Romania, Yugoslavia, Argentina, Ukraine, Britain, and yes, even a mexican (who happens to be a tax preparer, and she is an HONEST one at that!).
I have no problems with legal immigrants, meaning those who follow the laws currently on the books, just like many groups in the past followed the laws on the books in their time. I have yet to hear anyone say "stop all immigration" because I doubt there are more than a few weirdos who think that way.
I am totally against ILLEGAL immigration. Has nobody noticed the word ILLEGAL. That means that you are doing something ILLEGAL. If I, an american, were doing something ILLEGAL, I as a citizen would pay for my crime. And how is it that an ILLEGAL immigrant has a right to do anything. This country was founded on immigration. This country was also founded on laws too. This country will certainly fall if we do not stand up as citizens. There is a civil war coming and this can be avoided if we can just help Mexico instead of just patching up the problem. Me and my wife are both veterans and we fought for this country, and all of the Americans, NOT THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. They don't fight for this country. They don't support this country. And they don't help this country. They have broken the law of this American country. God Bless AMERICA
most white anti-illegal would not mind if we were "invaded" by white (german, irish) illegal immigrants. but since that's not happening and they all assume it is only Mexicans, they don't like that, that almost sound like racism.
