Make everyone who receives gov't assistance take a drug test. If they fail, then no more money.
But you are correct. These people come to our country (some illegally) because we feed them with under the table jobs, free health care, schooling, food stamps, housing, etc. If we penalize employers and stop feeding these stray cats, they will stop hanging out in our backyard.

If they have 10 kids and 5 of them is already working for a part time job then...they could really be able to buy 300 bucks or more cost of food...
I understand that you have ten kids and that you don't see why you have to suffer but i used to be on welfare but now i rely pn my on paycheck and tax refunds. i have one kid and am married. try getting child support if possible or just dealing with it.because i am an afric`an american and to tell you the truth if you compare white america's life to the life of most minorities that barely can get a job because of the racist people in the world it somewhat makes sense. our families are still trying to get back on our feet after the four hudred years white america had in bondage and the years that we couildn't get jobs because we were considered to be colored and of a lower class. i have a pretty good education but compared to some of the people that i have met through my lifetime i am blessed more than i deserved.

I hear ya... they probably get govt. assistance on their housing too (HUD)... so their rent is based on their income (if they have to pay rent at all)... If the gov't paid my rent and my grocery bill I would have a little extra money too.

immigration isn't a problem. I'll tell you of my own experience, I had to go my local Social Security office ( in a mid sized north eastern city )about a year ago, my S.S. card got destroyed and I needed to get a new one. I went to the waiting room and what did I find? there were 3 ( count em' ) 3 white people in this room that was about 60' X 60', me and 2 older men, everyone else was Hispanic, and I didn't hear a word of English the entire time I was there until I got to the counter. There was also about 50 kids running around. No cost for immigration, " my a--" there isn't, and it's getting worse every day, we can't afford to keep putting politicians in office who won't do anything about this. We need the wall NOW!!!
It is a common feeling among those of us who work and are free of State and Federal compensations feel the same way you do. I could go on forever about this issue discussing both sides but there is not enough time in my day to do so because I am working! But what gets lost in this argument is the self satisfaction and self worth that comes for supporting ones self. Those who get assistance to get themselves on their feet are suppressed by the system to stay on assistance because they lose it as soon as they get a job. (Ex: they will lose Medicaid yet not be offered health benefits at the new job; gross income is less than assistance because it is taxed, etc.) The government also doesn't take into account that not everyone yearns to better themselves, they need to offer assistance to everyone to be fair and not discriminate on terms of drive to be self sufficient. I for one will work as hard as I possibly can to not rely on anyone else for any of my living needs. I will probably struggle till my dieing day, but I will die with a piece of mind and pride. But it is nice to know that if I ever do truly need assistance there is somewhere to go for help. But as soon as I was applying for it I would ask to be put in a back to work program, which are very few and far between. This is where the break down really is. We have case workers to manage these assistance programs but not enough programs to assist them in going back to work, and not enough insurance investigators to confirm the seriousness of people's disabilities preventing them from working. I can only hope that life long recipients of living assistance will one day feel what it's like to truly earn something they worked for and deserved.
I am a Children's Social Worker who earns less than what some of my clients families receive in federal and state assistance. And someone who has chosen a profession that does not allow me to afford having a child. At 32, if I had a child right now as a single mother I would be given no option but to apply for assistance in order to get medical coverage for my child since I have to pay out of pocket for it. And would need help with daycare payments in order to go back to work. It is a sad financial world right now, for everyone.
Sadly, you've got to understand how things are today. IF you are a working person- it's your duty to pull the wagon full of freeloaders. You have no right to complain about who gets to ride in the wagon, or how hard it is to pull it- you MUST pull it. Then, when you fall from exhaustion, you are faulted to being uncaring and self centered; probably racist too. So, shut up and pull. There are a lot of useless lazy parasites that want a ride- pull you working fool!!!

Just because they were a minority doesnt automatically mean they were getting their stuff paid for. So you saw each and everyone of these people with a food stamp card? Or are you just assuming cuz they werent white?
Well if they are legal americans just like you and I they were entitled to "us" paying for their food. While unfair I know there isnt a damn thing that can be done!
