I think the US should stop all immigration from countries that turn a blind eye to drug-smuggling as well. I think the US should stop immigration from nations that encourage their citizens to enter the US illegally also.
Foreign aid to those nations should be stopped as well.

Absolutely. At the very least immigration from Muslim countries should be severely restricted. To do otherwise shows extreme irresponsibility on the part of the US government. It allowed 3,000 people to die on 9/11.

We need immigrants here and everywhere. If we werent suppose to learn of other people, traditions, and cultures why put us all on the same planet?
Terrorism will always find a way. Why? Because it works. Terrorism helped Africa get freed from their colonial masters in Europe and it will probably help the Arab world get rid of Western influence in the Middle East...good question.
Let us examine both sides of the equation. First, to block migrants from "countries known to harbour terrorists":
1)May stifle the economy by preventing the engagement of bright young minds from overseas
2) Does not necessarily diminish the threat of terrorism(which could be home grown)or the possible emergence of new terrorists from other lands not known before to harbour terrorists. i.e. Just as there is no fixed profile of a terrorist entity, there is also no fixed profile of a country that could possibly harbour or nurture terrorists. Indeed, terrorism has become a global threat and not just in certain countries.
On the contrary, by not blocking the immigration of the same:
1)There would be no impedence to our economy
2)Our authorities and people will continue to be vigilant towards developing terrorism counter tactics and defensive measures, such as screening immigrants seeking employment and/or education. i.e. keeps us on our toes
3)Create more jobs for the intelligence, military and civil defence forces.
4)Prevent complacency by not detracting our focus away from the need to be on the alert at all times and under all circumstances against the stealth and cunning of terrorist organisations, their matyrs and activities..

Seems reasonable. I'd like to see them kill student visas from there too - - quickly. That is a crime.
