Why should we make new laws When we do not enforce the old ones?
Answer:
Thank you!
Finally someone that knows what they are talking about.
Oops, I forgot to give you a star.
good question :(
your right.
Cause that's what they do!
That the problem! If we make new laws they won't enforce them either. If we haven't gotten border security thanks to the 1986 amnesty bill, why should be believe that we will get it now.
They haven't even built 10 miles of fence yet and that was passed last year. They haven't had time to forget about it yet.
Enforce our current laws! Build the fence!
MOST IMPORTANT ONE - JAIL EMPLOYERS to dry up the job market. Just doing that one would solve most of the problems since they would have to leave. It is against the law to hire illegal aliens!
well the old laws don't "fit" the agenda of the politicians. When they are faced with the law that does not help to further their agenda they just simply make new ones.
BRAVO!! GREAT QUESTION. PLEASE SEND IT TO THE WHITE HOUSE SO THEY CAN ANSWER IT...
Old ones were wrote in 1777 !!!
kind of old!
because the United States isn't that inhumane to deport 12 million people and break up all of those families. We are a compassionate country..we need new laws that call for more humane measures...they are people just like we all are.
Here is an actual quote from one of my two senators. I'm very happy with them and their concern for us, that or their jobs, LOL. Either way, at least they heard us. This time.
>>>One, Sen. Saxby Chambliss (news, bio, voting record), R-Ga., told Bush that he and fellow Georgia Republican Johnny Isakson (news, bio, voting record) had sent the president a letter outlining the concerns.
"The message from a majority of Georgians is that they have no trust that the United States government will enforce the laws contained in this new legislation and secure the border first," it said.
"This lack of trust is rooted in the mistakes made in 1986, and the continued chaos surrounding our immigration laws. Understandably, the lack of credibility the federal government has on this issue gives merit to the skepticism of many about future immigration reform."<<<
ADD-
To the one just above me. They are families and they can go home as families. You can't get around the fact that they BROKE the law and we want that law enforced NOW before any other measures are passed.
The reason they make new laws is because they like spending our tax dollars. They look out for the illegals and forget they are Americans! And we Americans are the people they SHOULD be listening to.
Laws were meant to be ENFORCED and followed by everyone. Not just Americans!!
Damn good question
Great question. We should NOT make new laws, we are not enforcing the ones we have now.
The bottom line is we shouldn't. Our efforts should be in securing our country and enforcing our laws to ensure our citizens are free from criminals and undue hardships put upon them by supporting said criminals.
Congress wants to fool us into believing that they are being productive.
In the US, laws are always enforced arbitrarily. Look at the difference in treatment between celebrities, sports stars and regular people. The sheriff let Paris go. There was a judge who wanted his wishes done. I wonder whether either of them would have acted that way if her name was Sharon Jones. Today, police and our injustice system will enforce a certain law exactly. Tomorrow, they will let it slide.
We shouldn't. We just waste our time and the Senators just waste time instead of addressing more important issues. Reid's leadership is pathetic.
