I dont know whereabouts of my husband 15 years ago, can i secure my legal status to be married in my country?

of resident?

Answer:
If he is missing and you have filed a missing persons report on him in most of the US states, you can have him declared legally dead after 7 years and then you can marry whom ever you wish. I don't know where you are from and what the laws are regarding this there. I would speak to an attorney to make sure that you do everything the right way, you wouldn't want to be a bigamist.
