Did an Illegal use my Social Security number to get a job? Or is this an error?
I live in Colorado and never worked in Kansas or any company out of Kansas.
What do I do?
Is this a goverment issue or somthing?
My credit report looks okay, I don't think my Identity was stolen.
Why would anyone use my social security number to work?
Should I combine the info for taxes with the W2 from my work and this place I never worked?
Is there a special way to combine/file taxes for two W2's?
What happens if I only use the W2 for where I have worked in Colorado? will I be audited for money this W2 from Kansas says I earned?

You need to contact the company that is on the W2 and find out what is going on. And that is identity theft, just to let you know. It does sound like an illegal used your SS#. You also need to contact the IRS and let them know what up. Who does your taxes, you or an accountant? If it's an accountant I would ask him/her. I would do all this tomorrow. Don't wait a minute.

youll need someone to look at it, and get in touch with social securty admin, they are pretty much in every town, they have an 800 number and a local number. if you dont claim it, you can be in trouble, and if you do the same. sounds like a bad problem. seek professional advice. seriously, dont take advise from people here, pick up the phone and get calling around.

you need to contact the IRS, Social Security & then ICE.... it wouldn't hurt to call the company llisted on the W-2 also....keep very good records... Second thought ...why not contact Tom Tancredo's senate office...they should be a big help....Tancredo is fighting this crime against Americans every day....have you checked your credit report? This is probably jus the beginning of a very long ordeal for you....Don't believe it when you hear they only come to work.....
Yes they did report them to the social security ,The place where they are working ,to I.C.E. or soon the will mess up your life .Do not let them get away with it ,and dont vote for the two sell out parties.

Call the tax people or social security to report it first before you call the company.
Contact the SS, IRS, police and the credit bureaus. You have just been had. Now's the time for a big heads-up since it is tax time. Pay attention to EVERYTHING. Do it now before you spend years trying to get it fixed. Many have "overlooked" it because it didn't seem like a big deal. Even when you report it.....it doesn't mean it will be "fixed" overnight.
This is more than likely a typo. Get in touch with the company that issued the W-2, mistakes are easily made during tax time. If you don't get a satisfactory answer there then call the IRS and report the problem. I wouldn't worry too much but I would get to the business of correcting this mistake ASAP. Don't let this get into your IRS records.

You need to contact Social Security and the IRS as soon as possible. If one illegal has your number you bet there's a hundred more using it too.
The person has a legitimate question and concern and has received some genuine concern and excellent advice. I see some of the idiots responding to the advice and giving a thumbs down and wonder what in the world are thinking in their little pea brains. Why the thumbs down?? If you have a better answer or any kind of advice, say something!!!! The person is concerned EXACTLY as you would you were in the same situation. There are millions of people in the U.S. that are the victim of identity theft. The chances are one day either you or someone you love will be facing exactly the same situation!!!
Do a google search on the company and find out more information on the company (is it a legitimate company). Contact the company in Kansas and ask questions. You might be the victim of identity theft.
