What is the minimum amount of days that the US customs can grant...?

a nonimmigrant person traveling with a visiting visa? I've looked at some sites and they just say generally not more than 6 months and it is solely at the discretion of the officer at the port of entry. But I mean like there has to be some kind of minimum...right? What if you drop a grand to visit the US and they only grant you a week or two?

I'm asking because I'm a US citizen but my g/f is not and I would like her to be able to come to the US for a change instead of me always going to her country. Thanks.

Answer:
There is no minimum. It is to the custom or immigration officer sole discretion. If he has any reason to believe that someone should not stay more than a certain amount of time (it could be only days) he can put an expiry date. Like you saw on website the maximum is 6 months minus a day.
She can request for the max (6 motnhs) at the Point of Entry. She can also request for an extention of stay (another 6 months) before the I-94 ends. Just don't let her say that she is visiting her boyfriend.

Hope you both have a wonderful time together!**
