How can u tell if u have ever possessed any other nationality or citizenship?
Answer:
No, if you have a visa for HK/China, this suggests that you do not at present have HK or Chinese citizenship; on the other hand, it may well be the case that if you applied for it, you would be granted it.
It is even possible that on a visit there, the authorities could consider you to be a citizen without you applying for it; for example, if you ran into trouble with authorities, the British embassy may not be able to intervene on your behalf if China can argue you are one of their citizens.
For guidance about Chinese nationality law, contact the Chinese embassy, or a Chinese advice service.
You would just know..
Surely you know what nationality your parents are and what country you were born in?
Do you have amnesia? Do you have more than one passport? If you were ever a citizen of another country chances are you would remember.
I think you are asking if you might have Chinese citizenship and not know it. Something similar happened to me. My parents are American and I was born in Australia. I know that I had American citizenship but I was never sure about the Australian side. I contacted the Australian government to see about obtaining proof of AU citizenship. I received a list of things that I had to prove to the AU government. After I provided these things, I received proof of citizenship. The proof stated that I had been a citizen since the day I was born. Try contacting the immigration part of the Chinese government and just ask them for help. Every country has different rules though, some of which state that you can't have dual citizenship with certain countries. So research it carefully before applying.
