Moving to the USA?

Hi i am an British citizen who is looking to move over to the usa, i have a second cousin who lives in the us and is now a american citizen, when i apply for my green card if she sponsers me will it help me.

Answer:
No, sorry to say that only immediate family members can sponsor you. mother, father, brother, sister and children.
Check with our embassy but I don't think that far down the family tree will do you any good Welcome
probably not
yes of course
Possibly. But I think your cousin will have to guarantee that you won't claim any social benefits for at least two years (if there are any in the USA), he will have to prove that he is in a position to support you and pay your health insurance and this must be certified by an attorney.
Why would any one want to do that?
No!!
It cant hurt to try.
I'm quite sure it will help to have a sponsor. Just be sure to go through the legal process of becoming an American citizen. We have a huge "illegal" immigration problem (especially with the Mexicans having such easy access to our borders) I heard the U.K. is having the same problems with illegal immigration. So... I hope you understand where I am coming from. As long as you come here legally... You are very much welcomed.
