International move at 18?
anyways, i hate where i live with a passion, and i really want to move to asia. im thinking about the japan area.
im working on getting a full time job here so i can go there next summer..
but is 18 too young to move to the other side of the world? and also how hard will it be for me to get a visa to live there?
home sickness is not an issue either. the only thing i strive for is getting away.
also i would not be completely alone in japan, i have a very good friend who lives there.
Answer:
You have a very long time to live and life will take you many places...be patient. The world is not what we think it is when we are impatiently approaching adulthood.
Life in Hong Kong and Asia may seem glamorous...it's not.
Everyone hates where they live at 18.
Chill out...
Go to school.
Give yourself a chance to learn how to think clearly.
Good Luck!
At 18 years, you can validly go to another country for employment because you are no longer a minor.
18 is not too young if you enjoy travel ... 64 is too young for someone who can't handle a foreign culture :P
Sounds like you're ready to see what the rest of the world looks like :D
Work/Resident Alien visa difficulty varies with country & your skills.
First decide which country you want to live/work in. Next contact their Embassy in your home country and find their Visa FAQ
Next locate a Visa Petition/Immigration support forum for that country. I'd suggest starting with http://visajourney.com and asking after Japan specific forums there. The members of the forum can help you with any problems you may have and tell you more about the visa application process.
