Who thinks this is a defeat for the pro-illegals?
Answer:
actually..I'm more determined than ever
Per-Se. Proves what we Americans can accomplish when were pissed, angry, and upset. Hopefully, they know better then to try something like this again.
Look up the word denial in the dictionary.
The amnesty bill failed. YOU are in denial.
Would you like a hankie to cry on?
only time will tell
It's DEAD! The American people will not accept nothing but arresting and deporting ALL illegals from this country
Pro-illegals wait an see how many run an hide, they have not much left when WE THE PEOPLE have spoken. We have just begun to fight this parasite that invaded our great country,We stood together know lets get going an keep up the pressure, Close the borders & enforce the laws. No work no jobs no stay. We didn't ask for this mess but know we are in it an going to clean it up.Keep calling an e/mailing your Senators & GOV.
NO MAN There still hpe lets start marrying american girl that way we can be legal..aai ai ai ai
In 2009 they'll be wondering what to do with the 30 million illegals.
In 2020, they'll be wondering what to do with the 60 million illegals.
In 2050, the 300 million illegals will be wondering what to do with you.
klaycon,
If you knew anything about our immigration laws you would know that an illegal can't become a legal citizen by marrying a citizen. Sorry doesn't work like that anymore.they got rid of that a few years ago.
Secondly no this isn't a defeat for those that are pro-immigration reform. When a democrat gets elected president in 08 you can bet that we will see a reform again!
I see myself as a modern day abolitionist. Even when classical abolitionists had to deal with racist southerners wanting their "property" back, and racist northerners scared that blacks would destroy their way of life (why do you think northern states had laws outlawing runaway slaves?), the abolitionists still kept their head down and did the right thing, regardless of what father government told them to do.
Nowadays, we remember the abolitionists as a heroic minority who held on steadfastly to the concept of human rights while an entire nation was more concerned with the contents of its wallet instead. 100 years from now, when we don't discriminate based on social class, people will look at those who steadfastly clung to human rights against a tide of the money-fearing population, and will hold them in the same regard.
For all your bellyaching about the law, and all your boorish whooping about today, don't think I am going to stop fighting unjust laws.
Tu ne cede Malis
(Never surrender to evil)
We should all go on the offensive now and ride this momentum. Vote the rats out of office, demand harsh immigration laws, report businesses that hire illegals.
actually..I'm more determined than ever to keep Mexicans out.
