My wife holds a polish passport when will she be able to apply for a british passport?

Answer:
It took my wife 3 years from the date of our marriage.
That was over ten years ago before Poland's membership of the EU.
Check with the local immigration office.
She would need to complete two years here with a spouse visa and then another year with Indefinite Leave to Remain; alternatively, as she doesn't need any visa to be in the UK, she could apply after five years residence.

To be honest, I'm not exactly sure how it works now for EU nationals. She has full rights to live and work here anyway. Check with a Citizens Advice Bureau or solicitor.
As a citizen of an EU member country, your wife has the right to live and work in the United Kingdom & this is known as a Right of Residence, but she is still a Polish citizen. Naturalisation is the application process by which you become British, and she will have to apply to be Naturalised before she can apply for a British Passport! If it's what you both really want, do visit the websites below. This has been taken from the 2nd site: " If you are married to a British Citizen these are the criteria:
You must already have "Indefinite Leave to Remain" Full Residency
You have not spent more than 270 days outside the UK in the most recent three years,
INCLUSIVE of the 270 days, you have not spent more than 90 days outside of the UK in the most recent 365 days." (These rules are further explained on the second website).
"Once you have been naturalised as a British citizen, you may then apply for a full British Passport, thereby enabling you to travel outside the UK and to re-enter the UK as a full British Citizen. If you want to apply for British Citizenship, we recommend that you check with your own country's Embassy first! The British Authorities allow its Citizens to have more than one citizenship, but some other countries don't. So,.. if you are thinking of applying to become "Naturalised" as a British Citizen, then make sure that you find out whether or not your country's embassy will require you to give up your citizenship, or whether they are happy for you to retain it!"
Since Poland is a member state of the EU, what's the point? When she has to renew her passport she will get an EU passport.
She is EU, why bother.
first she need to get the residence permit and then
