Can I renew a H-1B visa if I completed both 3years period?

Hi all,

Got a question on a H-1B visa, it will be great if any of you can get back to me when you get a chance

My second term of H-1B visa is coming to the end at the end of this year and I'm wondering if I can renew my H-1 on a yearly basis without haven't my company sponsor my green card...

Thanks

AL

Answer:
You should have had applied for a green card already if this is your 2nd term of the h1B.

It is very rare that the US CIS would extend you again for another year. As far as the law is concerned, after 6 years of h1B, you need to stay out of the country for 1 year (back to your country of origin) before you are eligible for another term.
And lastly, you can't renew your working visa without a petition of an employer.
