Why do democrats say we can't deport the illegals?

We sure can deport em, if the libs stop putting laws in place to prevent it, for example saying local law enforcement can't inquire as to a person legal status in this country. How ridiculous is that??
PS. I agree, both parties don't seem to have the stomache or fortitude to get this issue resolved. We need to work together Dems & Repubs.

I'm a democrat and I would love to see illiegals deported. Remember, it's your Republican president that wants to grant them citizenship.

because they will sneak back in as soon as you deport them. so i think it is a waist of money.
Because it would take tax money to do that and they want the money to pay for their welfare programs! They also think that the illegals will register as Democrats and vote for them. Simple question, simple answer :)
Iraq and the deportation have no connection. Dems are again using an all or none scenario. We know we can not deport all but to start the process will send other back on their own and also stop the flow in.

Neither party is answering the call of the people to take action. Most are coming into an election year and don't want to offend a particular segment of the population. I agree something can be done too. ENFORCE THE LAW THATS ALREADY IN PLACE! It's that simple. Please Vote.

This administration can't even find Bin Laden. How are they going to find 12 million more in hiding? I'll tell you what. We'll make you the bus driver and send you into east L.A. with a bullhorn announcing that you are there to pick up all who are undocumented and take them back to Mexico.
If there are 12 million illegals, it would take 40,000 flights of 300 passengers just to evacuate them. It would take 277 days of flights departing every ten minutes just to accomplish the task, and this is the best case scenario.
What the Democrats won't tell you is that, simply by levying huge fines on employers who hire illegals, you would immediately remove the reason for them being here. They would begin to "make a run for the border" (in the opposite direction this time).
See what happens when we let our government run everything? And we don't hold them acountable for thier promises? This has been a growing problem for years! In 1985 they promised us the same things they are promising now when they allowed amnisty back then. This time we will secure the boarders! Really we mean it this time lol. Even though I am a conservative (I do vote libertarian sometimes) you can't just blame the Democrats alone on this one. It's just as much or maybe even more so a republican fiasco. Republicans were in charge of the congress most of the time during the last few years. Why we can't just enforce the laws we already have and build the fence that has already been paid for is beyond me. I guess they look at illegals as potential voters, doesn't matter that they are a drain on our economy.

You're absolutely right - if they say they can't deport them, then they can't. It's because THEY DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM.
Like many other laws they've enacted, they'd rather deal with the cosmetic stuff that appears to address the problem, but doesn't. That way, they can claim that they've done something...
