Baby born in brazil, but not married?

My girlfriend in brazil and I are thinking of having a baby. We aren't married and dont plan on marrying on documentation.

I'm a United Kingdom EU citizen, she's a Brazilian citizen.

If we choose to have a baby, and the baby is born in Brazil. When the child is born, When my name is registered as the father of the child in brazil on the childs birth certificate..Will he/she Or even my girlfriend be able to become UK citizens?

i need some info on this, thanks

Answer:
The child will be entitled to UK citizenship from you, whether you and the mother are married or not. It will be entitled to Brazilian citizenship from its mother, and from being born in Brazil at all (Brazil is one of the few countries in the world (the US is one, also) where birth in the country automatically confers citizenship). Giving birth will not entitle your girlfriend to UK citizenship. If the two of you marry, however, she could go to the UK as an immigrant and request citizenship in the future.

Although Brazil does not recognize dual citizenship, it will not withdraw Brazilian citizenship from a child who also holds another citizenship. the UK has no laws against it.
