Seems to me most people escaping from Mexico would vote anything but Mexican (whatever that is?). Don't you think their greatest desire is to live the American dream and become Americans?

Typical ingrate aren't you. And even if the Mexicans did help Mexico over-take a portion of America - what do you think that Mexico government will do then? Do you really believe that if this is done in the name of Mexico, and Mexicans that they'll allow you all the same benefits, and privileges that the government people in Mexico have. I think that they are using all of you Mexicans who believe that. And when they're finished using you - they'll boot your @zzes out of what you proclaimed for them. So before you go spouting off your mouths about how you're going to do this or that for Mexicans, and Mexico you better be @*mn sure that you're going to end up with the same rights as the Mexican government has. Otherwise as usual you'll be screwed.

If America is all Mexicans, then of course they'll "vote Mexican." That'd be the only thing left to vote.
Hate to disagree with you and your highly-informed political theory, but Mexicans are not even close to "taking over." The only immigrants who can vote are the legal ones, which you don't have a problem with (or at least I hope you don't). And if you're worried about a governmental takeover, crunch some numbers and figure out how underrepresented Mexican-Americans are in the state and federal government. Not a lot of Mexican-American governors or congresspeople relative to the overall population.
Once you assimilate into White culture you don't tend to vote for Mexicans. You vote for Whiteness. Assimilation does that to people!
The Mexican people will always be for Mexico, if they live in Mexico or not. And if you think not, look at what flag they wave.
Sounds like what happened after the Americans took over Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Nevada and California from the Mexicans. My parents raised me to speak english only because of the harrasment they got from the Gringos. They were punished if they got caught speaking spanish in school. My family was in Texas and New Mexico when it was still Mexico.

One of the many flaws with this line of thinking is that all Americans are immigrants with the exception of the American Indians of course who were native to this land. Anyone who is a legal citizen of the US is voting American regardless of their race. The illegals in the US is a completely different question. To put this another way even if the anglo population at some point in the future was outnumbered 10 - 1 by any other nationality who were legal citizens these would still be American votes regardless of the outcome of the vote. America was not formed on the premise that the a 'true' US citizen is an anglo hence the term 'metling pot'. And America is not the only country by far where this is the case. Too many provincial viewpoints out there and bias. So how can any nationality who is a legal citizen of the US 'take over' when we are all Americans and not comprised of one particular nationality?
