Think about this. If they have to return home, then apply for the z visa and pay five thousand bucks, then why let them come back? They have to leave anyway !! At least a lot of them will have to leave.
I don't have a problem with a worker program, but they should all leave, then apply in the proper manner. The government can not enforce the policies in this new bill. It is impossible. They say that the worker program is tied to border security. do you really believe that. The government must meet milestones in border security before the worker programs will kick in? What we will end up with is that there will snags in the security process, the government will relax the border security requirements, the illegals will still come in, and it will be worse than what we have now, because the illegals will use the new laws against the government, then before you know it, there will be a great flood of illegals from all over the planet, using the new laws in this bill, to just move in and do whatever the hell they want to do. the first thing our government need to do is to make the borders secure. Then lets talk about a worker program.

He wants cheap labor and globalism which will pit US wages against the lowest in the world through excess to needs immigration and outsourcing. That is how businesses make money.

Personally..it's the next step to his bigger plan of the NAU. I think he wants to see his name in the history books. It probably will be..but not for any good thing.

Asking illegals to return to their homeland, pay back taxes, fines penalties amounting to at least $5,000 is not amnesty.

$5,000 is a fortune to most immigrant families.
What you do have is a press that will do anything to smear President Bush and will tell you many things that are not true because they are counting on the fact you will not read anything about what the President is proposing and vote the way the press wants you to.

That's were your wrong he gave out a speech saying he's going to take out illegals without Amnesty a long time ago.
Big Business wants illegals so that they have a steady pool of nearly free workers. Tax payers support the cost of the labor pool, while the business pull in huge profits. They have no obligation to labor since the workers cant organize together now. Capitalism only works with balance, they dont want it to work, they want money and power--this cements both for them.
Bush is a puppet of Business.
My opinion? I believe he thinks this issue can be his legacy.
He's sure as hell not leaving anything else positive behind him in his tenure.
He's selling us out to Big Business. If he doesn't get amnesty, he doesn't get his kickbacks from Big Business. It's about making his buddies a hole lot of money, and screw the real American worker! The rich get richer and poor get poorer. There will not be a middle class if this bill passes.
He has plans to re-staff the military with a majority of them.
As some of you have said, $5,000 is fortune to them. I just wonder what is going to happen if they don't pay it? Will they be forced to leave then? Or maybe they'll draw up a proposal that if you can't pay the fine the 'head of household' will be forced into the military...lol.
I just hope this thing doesn't pass to begin with.

Basically the American citizens do not TRUST the government to enforce anything in the bill EXCEPT the amnesty part. MOST of us DO have a memory beyond yesterday and look back to 1986 at the last amnesty and the promises that were made that were not kept regarding border security. The only thing that came out of the last amnesty was...amnesty for nearly 3 million illegal aliens.
Americans KNOW this. And this is why Americans want the government to enforce our laws FIRST. Secure the border FIRST, before any talk of immigration reform.
Do you blindly trust and believe anything in writing in the bill? We have laws in place now regarding immigration that are not being enforced , we have a fence that was "approved" to be built but is in limbo...

What if there was a law that said the minimum age for getting a driver's license is 35? Would you stay home and starve, or take a big cut in pay to work at a job like babysitting or lawnmowing within walking distance? Or would you join millions of other young people by ignoring that law and driving to work without a license?
A Mexican without relatives in the States must wait at least 15 years for permission to come here legally. All they want to do is come to work. Would you wait 15 years? Would your ancestors have waited?

As many others have stated, Bush is part of the globalist agenda to create a North American Union (NAU) which would eliminate our borders with Mexico and Canada and create one big superstate. It makes me furious too.

Up to the time GWB landed on the aircraft carrier I thought he was better than most presidents in the last forty years or so. Boy did I get duped! Like father like son with Jr. & Sr. I'll never forget George senior talking about the "new world order". Junior Bush is the final chapter in that book! The boarder/amnesty problem is just another "conditioning" move towards a boarderless north american union. If Americans don't wake up FAST you can kiss what freedoms are left good by & adjust to an even more worthless currency than the federal reserve note(debt), the amero script.
