you cant become a legal alien, if you're an illegal alien and aply for citizenship and get approved then you're a citizen.
Start all over again from square one....actually NO.to the back of the line, and apologize to all the people you have disrespected!
Deport yourself, and start the right legal process and pay the fees, and prove your status and your willing ability not to be a burden on the US, and wait in your country until the process is completed, and that includes a complete background history.
Unless you want to seek asylum, you must go back to your country of nationality and apply from there. And you must have a basis, such as a relative who is a US citizen.
But if you have accumulated to many years of illegal presence, you may be barred.
go back to your country of origin and apply for a visa there.
That is how the rest of the world who can't jump over a fence does it.
land your space ship on the white house lawn and demand to be taken to our leader, or contact the legal immigration people nearest you. You can google that and find the building closest to you.

You have to take a test showing your knowlege about the USA or wherever you wanna become a legal alien. Then you have to get a visa so u can have legal citizenship in that country.
there is lots of special visas you can apply for, such as right to remain, which lets you live here but you cant work and are not eligible for welfare. There is also a lottery that grants citizenship to a handful of people, but so many apply that its a long shot. best you could do is get a visa or apply to become a citizen, its a long process but if you want to live and work here bad enough, its worth it. Okay first off i am sorry i am answering this question when i don't have a clue on how to become a legal alien. But i just wanted to tell u that when i first saw your question i thought you wanted to become a (space) alien(LOL).
getting your status legally
Do it like we did. find a country that doesn't have a way to defend itself,then wage a war to exterminate all you can, until the remainder can be put far away in a fenced in area. Draw imaginary lines on a map,then say nobody else gets in. Anybody that doesn't agree,gets arrested or shot. How's that for your 'perfect' plan? Really buddy..do you really want to stay here? We're about to have a bit of a rough time here. If they can,smart people with the money have already left,or made plans to go, if things go bad here. I don't know what country your from,but this country is just a pig in a dress and make-up ! You may have a better chance in the long run if you weren't dependent on the U.S. economy. good luck in what ever you decide to do. Pay no attention to the 'righties' on here,most are still in jr.high school !
First step is to go home and start the paperwork in your home country. Get in line!
If you want something bad enough you have to work for it. make the sacrifice go back get your papers &come back see if we won't welcome you. When you do it right no one can tell you anything & you will no longer be illegal.
