The pro-amnesty forces have worked diligently all weekend to overturn the Senate's rejection on Thursday of the Bush/Kennedy Comprehensive Amnesty Bill.
Bush Administration officials are saying that the President will throw all of his influence this week into persuading the 38 GOP Senators who voted against amnesty last week that they were wrong.
Senate Democratic leaders are waiting to see if the President can twist enough Republican arms before deciding whether to bring the S. 1348 amnesty back up for amendments and a final vote.

I guess if amnesty is passed they want the illegals to know the day our elected officials choose them over us
I know the Senate is hopeful towards the 4th but then even if it passes there...we still have the house. It's a long time before anything is a done deal.

There is no final vote. There will never be a final vote on this screwed up Amnesty bill! They should be enforcing the laws already on the books, which means arresting and deporting ALL illegals.
The final date will be the day the Federal government collapses and the plutocrats all flee to Belize to live in gated mansions.
