2 problems with your link.# 1.None of the estimates given site a source that is obtainable today because some of the statistics go back as far as 2000 and don't give the source for reference.# 2.The source of the link has it's own political agenda if you look at the other articles in it.
I believe that was true in 2003. Now it has at least tripled in criminals illegal aliens.
Sounds like we need tent prisons for illegals.
I don't believe that half of the California prison population is made up of illegal aliens!
I live in California so I did a search and found a website that cited 17%, another that cited former governor Pete Wilson (who was recalled!) as saying it was 20%, and finally, a US congressman whose webpage claims it is 15%. None of these are even remotely close to half, and there obviously is no consensus.
I won't even cite the webpages here, because almost every one of them was just propaganda against illegal immigrants. Too many citizens in my state are threatened by people who are different than they are, no matter what the reason.
