My brother in law just married a mail order bride one month after?

he divorced my sister in law and abandoned her and their adopted son. What the hell? He was set up by his sister (my other sister in law) and the mail brides sister who is already here married to a 60 year old man and is an apparant gold digger. My brother in law started talking to the woman in Taiwain by phone and internet in September, when he ended it with his wife. He had been in New Orleans since Katrina and had not financially supported is wife or son, with rare visits home during 2006. He divorced his wife in December, afer he returned from a 2 week trip to Taiwain which he brought this woman back. He said he had to buy her a roundtrip ticket because of her 30 day visa. Now he has up and married her this past weekend in Louisiana by a JP against all wishes of his family. He has made statements that she will get her work visa in 6 months and become a citizen in 2 years. But he has hepitits C and does have a good prognosis and has cirrosis of the liver. How is this legal? Help us!

Answer:
Oh yeah.. your brother is in deep**** . I'm Taiwanese. I can tell you right now, alot of girls from my country are gold diggers. When they get married, they expect to control the family's finance. They're caniving and will use to all type of method to get their way( there's a saying among us asians, that Taiwanese woman are the tigress of asia, unlike the other asian girls)

I personally think that you should tell your brother about what another Taiwanese said. Also tell him to find a lawyer and write a will before marriage that he will pass his fortune to his son legally.
I believe your only hope is to have him declared incompetent, which is difficult.

Good luck.
If he wants to be married to her, there is nothing you can do. Odds are, she just married him for a green card and she will leave him once she becomes a citizen in a few years. All you can do is try to convince him of the truth or tell the people at immigration that you have reason to suspect their marriage is a sham.
if he is legally married, she can stay here even if he dies. It is legal. It is just a sad story though.
I'm sorry, I see a case of "nearly terminal DUMB" (maybe or maybe not) but it all sounds legal to me.

Remember, morally right and legal can be mutually exclusive.

I am sorry you feel the way you do about your brother but most marriages are very private. There is no telling why your brother did what he did. It might very well be pure selfishness but it could also be that his live was a "pure hell' with his ex and he saw something he thought might make him happy.

I have seen several marriages that looked very weird on the outside but made people inside happy. On the other hand I have seen the opposite occur. The truth will show itself eventually.

I just hope you can come to terms with your feelings. You must understand your brother has his very own life, and it is his to live as he sees fit.
