Is this too hard to understand? or, will it just cost politions votes? I have the anser to imagration!?
Answer:
Greetings, I think some of that is good but I'll add to it. I think anyone that wants to come here for a better life, has to apply to come here, like you apply to a college, you can use the guest work program, and you pay for a visa to come here to work for a specific time, when it expires then you renew it, but you are investigated thoroughly. After say 3 years of renewals and that steady job, you are allowed to become a citizen but you must speak and learn English as we do and use it as your language in public (what you do in your home with your language is your business) and you must pass an exam like SAT or something and be knowledgeable in all areas we teach our kids, in other words a productible useful person who earned the right to be here and won't go sit on welfare.
Prosecute those companies and farms for hiring illegals but pass a law they have to have a work visa and job lined up to be here. If their visa runs out, and they lose their job without finding another one and renewing the visa, they have 6 months to tend to affairs and leave on their own or be escorted with a free ride out.
If a woman is pregnant and over here, the baby is considered born in Mexico unless the mother is a citizen and has taken the tests, so Mexico can support the child.
Agree. I've posted virtually the identical thing as answers to several questions.
Gee, actually, that sounds a lot like "enforcing our current laws!"
What a great plan!
i agree just not sealing up the border... more border patrol agents will suffice!
It is a good plan. The problem is getting our government to do something sensible like this.
Some good points , but please use your spell check
Is this a serious question? Did you honestly just not take the time to hit "check spelling"?
And the problem with your "plan" is that deporting or forcing them to leave as you propose isn't feasible or humane. Many illegal immigrants have sons, daughters, spouses, friends that are legal US citizens. It would be an unnecessary burden on these people (the citizens), not to mention cruel, to even contemplate tearing their families apart via deportation.
In addition it seems like forcing a large minority of people to flee a country simply because the majority doesn't like them is rather reminiscent of the Trail of Tears in the 1800 or the Japanese Internment of the 1940's. Both blatant human rights violations.
Oh, but I do agree with you on the sealing up of the border.
hey.. i totally agree with you on this issue. I have been telling everyone this for a few years. to solve this problem 4 things need to happen. We need to secure the border and allow the border patrol and other agencies to do their jobs effectively. 2. we need to heavily fine the companies who hire undocumented workers. im for a three strikes and you are out rule. fine them... then a bigger fine, and the 3rd time they are found to hire an illegal, they are done. 3. we need to deport the illegals who are here. First we go to the prisons and send all of the illegals back instead of letting them rot in our system. Then we just enforce the laws. Anyone who is found here illegally is deported.. Then we just have our law enforcement go and find the illegals. but the 4th thing is very important. We need to ease the restrictions to be here legally. We still need to have our standards, but shorten the time and effort so people will want to be here legally and be proud and productive members of our society.
but i think many people are fooled by the tv media and don't think this could happen. The politicians are under fire, but they need to hold strong. The illegals should not be powerful enough to have a say in who gets into office in this country, but it seems like the politicians are scared of them a little bit right now. but we won for now.. but we will wait and see what happens next
I agree...with you and aaronb as well...I would add we could
offset costs of deportation for those who refuse to voluntarily turn themselves in, by use of confiscation laws...those who refuse will have their vehicles seized, sold and the money spent on their deportation. Fine the employers of illegals, use that money to help defray costs of building the fence and deportation costs.
