Blow hard politics or real?
I think it's wishful thinking on the part of the Washington weasels!
Answer:
I think it shows that his policy will be to pretend everyone agrees with whatever the President ends up doing. They are trying to characterize the majority as the fringes to get what they want for the privileged few big business investors.
This isn't uncommon. CNN had a 'quickvote' on whether the Senate bill should be brought back or dropped, and when I saw it the last time near the end of the day it was 65% against bringing it back and 35% for bringing it back with over 72,000 people voting, and had had similar percentages at each point I checked it that day.
Funny, I haven't seen them mention the results in any of their stories. I am dead certain that if the results had gone the other way, we'd be hearing all about it.
I think that Tony Snow is trying to bully the Republicans needed to pass the bill into voting for it. But I also think that the ones voting against it are the ones listening to the people of this country, and in that, feel that they will lose their seats come election time.
what bill
Yeah he is just kissing bush's but.It is a last ditch strongarm tactic that they know is just that.
Well, since the democraps and repukelicans are interchangable, it all depends on whether or not the right palms were "greased". If the lobbyists spent enough money, then sure, they can vote it in, why not? Since NAFTA and all its bastardizations, the US has had an open porous border; shoot, they're about to finish the Can-US-Mex superhighway, so amnesty and a revolving door border can't be far behind.
Whatever it is, I hope it does NOT pass.
The politicians say we have to "do something." Why not start with ENFORCING THE LAWS WE HAVE?!
This same type of deal was tried in 1986, and failed. All the enforcement provisions were ignored. and the world got the message that the US would grant amnesty, and so they thought they would just do it again once the problem came up.
And they were right, as far as these politicians were concerned.
It's sad.
I hope there isn't a strong support and it fails on the final passage. However, I think they are going to try to take the time to make sure it passes no matter what because some seem awfully confident.
When is the final passage?
Just think if it does we'll have AMNESTY PART 3 in 2030
Blow hard politics.
Bush won't get enough republican support.
I don't know which is more astounding:
Bush thinking that the American people will be pushed around on this issue or the Democrats regaining senate majority only to shoot themselves in the foot on this issue.
How is it that they can't get this right?
