What visa do i need if im already married to an american for the past 6years and how long does it take to get?

i have been on a h1b and ive been married for 6years.how long does it take to get a different work visa other than a h1b?

You don't need a work visa. Since you are here already your American spouse should file the following forms with the CIS... I-130 (Petition for Alien Family Member), I-485 (Application for Change of Status) and I-765 (Application for Work Permit).

The Work Permit will be approved in a few months allowing you to work at any job. You should get an IR-1 visa in less than a year. This will get you an unconditional Green Card because you've been married over two years.
It actually depends on how busy immigration is and where are you applying from. Mine took about 3-4 months to get my temporary green card.
