that's true but the fact is you can have 10 ,12 or even 22 children and live off welfare , take a look at the illegal immigrants in this country , there family's on average are 4 to 5 children , why ? welfare of course .

The Richer gets Richer and the poor pops out kids. That's why you see Hispanics and Blacks with thousands of kids.

If everyone waited to have a family until they could afford it the population of the world would probably be cut by 95%. When it becomes totally ecomonic like you are implying the world will be a worse place to live in.
There are cultural and religious issues involved. A couple will almost never stop having sex. However family traditions, culture, or religions can play a role in the use of birth control. Also many do not always put financial issues first.
Funny. The only families I know with around 10 kids actually can afford them. Statistically, it is not a significant issue.

The motivation lies with the welfare system basing payouts on a # of dependents basis. Stop dangling the carrot and I'm sure you would see the numbers come down.
I've never seen a large family that couldn't "afford" them. In addition, the love that is felt among the members of that large family far outweighs theat they can't each afford a JAG.
I totally see your point. The ones that are on state aid seem to always be popping out kid after kid and milking the system, while us people who work damn hard for what we have, full time, sometimes a second job just to provide for one or two kids. Birth control is cheaper than birth.

What are you talking about 10+ kids? That is not true for most poor families. Sure you see more kids born to the poor but maybe they don't feel that in order to have a kid you must be able to buy alot of toys to keep kids happy. I'm tired of people who come across as snobby and think good parents are rich. A good parent can be rich or poor. Don't tell me there are no mommy dearests in the rich community or parents who put their children on psychiatric drugs because parents dont want to deal with unwanted behaviors. Remember columbine? Those kids did not come from poor parents.

I totally agree with you. More kids = More government benefits. And yes, it goes for all races...it's just happens that the majority of those doing it are Hispanic Catholics.
Why is this question in Immigration? Cuz I know a group of people (asian americans) who spit out 10+ kids and suck off our government..but I take it your just trying to single a certain group out.
What about the white or black americans who have a ton of kids and cant support? They should be mandated by court to get fixed dont you think?

Well, it's usually the people who can't afford them who have many of them. Why? because they don't need to afford them, because the Welfare system can! and that way they can afford to live for free! The more kids you have, the more money you get! You get food stamps, housing, and a check for eack kid! Isn't that great? It isn't for those of us who work hard for our money is it? That's why we don't have many kids, because we're are trying to be responsible and be able to afford them with our own hard-working money!!!
