Is it possible to be patriotic without being accused of being raciest if so how?

Answer:
Not in England it's not when you have english councils afraid to put up Christmas decorations because they don't think it's politically correct to do so, not able to send Christmas cards in case it offends someone so these councils have to send "Happy Holiday Cards" School children being banned from wearing an England football shirt to school as it could be deemed racist when the other 80% of his class are wearing Pakistan cricket shirts and being allowed to wear them because it shows we are integrated! When official leaflets are available in 25 or so other languages when we in England have only English as the official language. Don't start me going I won't stop, but when I as an educated middle Englander are starting to get fed up with these mamby pamby officials/MPs and their pro immigrant bowing and scraping and curtailing to the "minorities" can be accused of being a racist then this government must listen to us. I know someone who teaches in London and he as the teacher is the only White person in the class, who is the minority?
if you dont like someone, and then you post that comment then that is that but if you dont like someone for their color that is racist there is a different.
if anyone accused you of being raciest, they are a moron who cannot spell or speak. you should laugh at them. or use spell check.
People (pro-illegals) confuse the fact that Americans (AKA patriotic people) and furious over the illegal alien criminals. I have been called racist because I am angry with a group of people that break our laws, sponge off the taxpayer, demand services, only show allegiance to their home country, etc... I don't care what the color of their skin is. I care if they are here LEGALLY.

I am proud to be an American. I am not a racist. Anyone that calls a person "racist" because they are angry about the illegal alien criminals is racist themselves.
Raciest what? Car, plane, boat, fashion.

If you mean rascist then I really doubt it. Instead of entering into a debate, most of the children on here will turn to attack when they run out of slogans. Racist is the easiest, but in doing so, they often describe themselves.
absolutly possible, patriotism is pride in ones country and culture. Many different races make up the population of the UK but I am still proud to be british as are many of the people who have moved into this country
Its possible but not good. The Klu Klux Klan was racist and patriotic.Racism has to do with individuals, Patriotism has to do with the country.
Patriotic means liking your country just because it's your country.

Racist means not liking someone just because of their skin color or something else.

It's easy to be one and not the other. Just don't let yourself be dumb enough to hate someone based on what they look like.
An immigrant to a country can be patriotic, or they can just take it for granted.
Always where the football shirt of your country ?!
It's possible...but you would have to be careful.
You couldn't just say the first thing which comes into your head.
You would have to learn diplomacy
It's easy.
1) Love what's good about your country.
2) Don't allow prejudice to guide the way you think about people.

The patriotism and racism aren't connected (except in the minds of racists).
Dallas, I do laugh at you. You moron. You and your followers are the only ones that get angry about illegals. illegals do not bother me in any way.I laugh even more when there is nothing you can do about it.I hope we get alot more illegals, so I can enjoy the rest of my life

By the way Gizza, you are not looking for answer. You are looking for someone to crap on and agree with you.
yes vote out your "patriotic" Republicans in Congress who have done nothing to deal with the immigration issues for the past twenty years, now just want to build a fence, that's like putting a bandaid on after open heart surgery.
The fact that you are asking this question is worrying. It is a natural right to be patriotic, you can't dispute that.
The media however has intwined patriotism and racism so tightly that people can't distinguish between them anymore. This is by design. 'Why' is another question.

Fly your flag with pride.
Yes, of course it is. Simply ignore the 'racist' word. It was invented by the PC/lefties as a means of preventing sensible debate about immigration and other race related issues of concern. 'Race,' could be said to include the following elements, skin colour - culture - religion - politics. It is perfectly reasonable to be able to criticise the last three but not the first. The 'race' word first emerged in America where it made sense, because it related to skin colour only. It doesn't work in Britain, because it has been wrongly used to try to stifle debate about the other three elements which I have referred to above.
No.
I see that you are being razzed about your spelling but I think I get the gist of your concern and question. I personally agree with the response you've gotten by disneyfreak1, i.e.: "People (pro-illegals) confuse the fact that Americans (AKA patriotic people) and furious over the illegal alien criminals. I have been called racist because I am angry with a group of people that break our laws, sponge off the taxpayer, demand services, only show allegiance to their home country, etc... I don't care what the color of their skin is. I care if they are here LEGALLY.

I am proud to be an American. I am not a racist. Anyone that calls a person "racist" because they are angry about the illegal alien criminals is racist themselves." [Well said superfreak1, I nominate you for receiving best answer] ... I would add the following statement: Those of us who care about our country from an environmental perspective must worry about the population explosion we're experiencing... from 150 million to 300 million in less than 50 years with an expected doubling again in even less time. We do not have the resources to support this large a population if we want to live the affluent lifestyle in which we enjoy in the United States. If we don't care if we're living in a country with third world standards then I suppose the population/environmental concerns are a mute point.
Yes it is. All you do is support and promote the culture that originates from your country and respect other races different to your own in the process. For example you can be really passionate about something america was founded on, like the right to free speech. However if you start shouting your mouth off about how great slavery was you are not being patriotic. You're being pig-ignorant and racist. Both things are 'american' but one is racist and the other isn't. Use common sense on what parts of your culture you celebrate.
It is hardly possible to BREATH without being accused of being racist, if you are white.

So just give up on that goal.
It's not possible
No. The people trying to destroy this country will use whatever tools they can to marginalize and discredit anyone opposed to them.
I do not have to defend my right as an American to love and respect my country.Nor do I have to defend my right to object to the influx of millions of illegal aliens that come to this nation from many country's.I do not even concern myself with their color or their country of origin. It is not who they are or where they are coming from that is the problem. Its the fact that they are here at all.
I take great pride in the USA and I will fly my flag any where I want. That is my right as a legal native born American citizen.
The race card has been so over played that it no longer has any power over thinking intelligent adults. It has no power to temper what I say or what views I hold. Its just a ruse by the pro supporters to try to silence the anti illegal group. It no longer works because its not a valid argument against 90% of Americans.
Sure it is. All you have to do is be as concerned for the welfare of all people, as you are with your own. Patriotism that doesn't consider those of other classes, ethnic backgrounds or countries, isn't patriotism. It's classism or nationalism or bigotry.
Well it's getting increasingly difficult I'm afraid as being patriotic is often an excuse by others to call you a racist.
i just try to give clear coherent answers without resorting to abusive language or launching into a into a tirade against any particular group. I agree that because of a relatively few idiots and worse.it has become difficult to be a patriot with out being considered racist
Not if you live in the UK!!Its racist to even hang a st George's flag now!!Its a sad day when you can not even fly your country's flag with pride!!and rambo u are a tw@t
The difference between patriotism and racism is that a Patriot is proud of his/her country without feeling the need to denigrate another country in order to do so.

Some of my fellow Welsh people are unable to do this. They cannot be proud to be Welsh without insulting/attacking the English. Its pretty pathetic. The BNP do the same thing. They can't be proud to be British without attacking other races.

There ARE Patriots in this world who are proud of their country without feeling the need to put other people down.

They just seem to get drowned out by the loudmouthed airheaded bigots who seem to think you have to belittle someone else to be proud of who you are. Sad as fcuk.
You can be accused of racism if you say any colour now, it's stupid. Racism is actually making a person feel bad and victimising them due to their colour e.t.c
