If over 70% of the American people think we should do something about our southern borders why haven't we?

This is a democratic republic, not a democracy. We have to rely on the idiots we elect to office to stop dragging their butts on the issue and vote for sealing the border. Many of these idiots are spineless and afraid of being politically incorrect. If they don't do something about it, then the 70% are just going to have to do it ourselves by killing illegals (war), so that they are driven back across the border. They are smuggling ALOT of guns across the border right now, in a sense preparing for a war, and our government does..nothing.
The need those guys comming from there to work for us below miminum wage.

Because the other 30% have 70% or more of the money and therefore the largest influence on our government. We, the 70%, have our chance to express ourselves at the polls, but the government representatives lie to us and pretend that they are listening to us, until they get elected and then they go back on their word and pander to the rich few and forget about the people who pay their salaries again until the next election. Just like now - suddenly we are hearing in the news about illegal immigrant raids on businesses. Could it be because another election is just around the corner? Hmmmm.

Now about the borders.....it does not matter what we think...you see; how else can public attention be diverted at present?...so, let the border issue "ride"....next election, they will be able to once again "feed-us" the same "grain" as that which is fed to the Kentucky fried chickens...and we will all...once again start the finger pointing at everyone but the guilty ones...and vote one more new "fresh batch"...of eloquent ....."almost became attorney's", in Congress"....

Let's write the amendment, set a date, and on that date, we peacefully block freeways, tracks, airports, government offices, even sea-ports. Just park the biggest, fattest things on wheels we can find and sit there till they give up and give us our amendment.

Because it's not 70% of all the people, it's 70% of just White people. If they actually took a poll of all the people all the non-Whites would be the MAJORITY and the Whites the obvious strong minority with most of the "greenbacks" not the "wetbacks". The drug cartel doesn't use boats to Florida or Louisiana but send the tons of drugs to Mexico to be distributed in US by CROSSING THE BORDER. It seems what US wants can be brushed under the table here-we need to demand reform as this $$ influence is obviously a threat in many ways to US.
Because "we" are not in control. Congress is not interested in protecting our borders. The last three law enforcement officers who did their duty have either been sentenced to prison, or are awaiting trial. The message is clear. It's hands-off open border policy with Mexico irregardless of the written law.
