Did you know about these odd provisions buried deep in the amnesty bill?
2) It creates a new "UNITED STATES-MEXICO BORDER ENFORCEMENT
REVIEW COMMISSION" (Title I, Section 138) that appears to be a Trojan Horse for more proxy meddling by Mexican consular officials hell-bent on undermining border enforcement and interior enforcement. Members from the law enforcement community will be balanced out by members from "academia, religious leaders, civic leaders or community leaders" (read: the open-borders lobby).
Answer:
what they dont mention, is the COST
The Heritage Foundation estimates the current Bush/Kennedy Senate immigration bill will cost - 2.5 Trillion.
Why won't the Senate provide an estimate? You know it has to cost *something*. If they have a different figure, I'm all ears. If another organization thinks the cost is something else, tell us!
that comes to $8,333 for every man, woman and child in America.
No joke: 2.5 trillion/300 million = 8,333
Now, many in America, such as the illegal aliens themselves, can't afford to pay anything
So, expect a surcharge to make up the difference for each $8,333 you are assessed for each member of your family, if you are able to pay taxes, say $40,000 for a family of four.
do you think that's a fair punishment to your family for other people's breaking of the law?
Whew.
Are you bored?
Now i do.
Did you know as a taxpayer, you gotta foot the ENTIRE bill?
Whew!! I love this country!!
Man, they are really, truly , selling us out!!
That's some great information!!!
You should have kept that for yourself, now,if this bill pass, immigration from US citizen (natural) to Canada will swell too high!!
American refugees, your welcome to Canada!!
I believed that it is much better to become an immigrant in another country than feeling an immigrant in my own!!!
The devil is in the details
I've been pointing out for days that there are no true enforcement triggers in the bill. People should take the time to read it.
No,I didn't know...Am amazed that not one of the items you have presented has been mentioned by our news media,,,who supposedly are dedicated to keeping the public informed in an impartial way..SHAME on them..and a THUMBS UP to you for bringing it to our attention...RENEGADE, are you aware of this question..In your recent question about the reform bill you indicated you had no knowledge of the actual content...now you do...
Wow , its so unfair.
I am a german immigrant . My whole immigration took 18 month ( medical examination ,background check ,lots of paperwork ,interview at the embassy and last but not least ...money ).
its not only a slap in the face for USC also for legal permanent residents.
doro
1) You say this as if its a bad thing. I think its great that it restores the states right to determine who receives in-state tuition. Its really up to them in the first place. In addition I'd rather have educated illegal immigrants that can contribute to the US than uneducated ones.
2) Unless we are reading two different versions of the bill, I cant find section 138.
3) Well they are called "undocumented aliens". If they had proper documentation then we wouldnt be in this pickle. Although I agree the background checks will be a problem, however some people are in the system already.
4) I dont see where you read that.
5) Haha, thats a good analogy. But whats wrong with the ICE shifting gears? If they initially have to help people process legalization papers then so what? Eventually they'll have to turn their focus back to tracking down illegal immigrants. And hopefully will do a better job this time since we are starting from square 1.
6) And where did you read this one? Title II Section 205 says that anyone who "has participated in the activities of a criminal street gang, knowing or having reason to know that such activities promoted, furthered, aided, or supported the illegal activity of the criminal gang" is inadmissable and deportable.
Thanks for actually citing the bill to try and shoot it down.
