How do you feel now that the immagration bill is virtually dead till after the 2008 elections?
Answer:
I feel really good. I was a republican until a short time ago and now have turned totally against the party, bush and the bunch. This vote today was a result of an outcry from the american citizens who have had it with the illegals and washington trying to cram it down our throats.
However, nothing is solved. They still pour across the borders , thousands a day. We need to keep emailing, calling, pressuring the senators and representatives to CLOSE THE BORDERS..until they finally get it.

For once the elites in Washington had to get off their high horses and listen to the people. The people didn't (don't) trust them to secure the border now because it was promised in 1986 and not done then.

Far too many REAL issues to be dealt with in the mean time.
People will keep doing what they're doing. Mexicans will keep jumping at the border Americans will keep crying.
YAY Its about time the senate sat up and listened to us! Of course it took crashing their phone systems with the number of calls to do it but it worked congratulations my fellow American Citizens it worked we got heard
I think US should of purchased/kept mexico instead of Alaska!
That's fine with me. Gives us time to enforce the rules we already have in place. Anyone who voted for amnesty is either biased for personal reasons, or they just haven't considered all sides of the issue, and the insane burden that illegal immigration places on America and it's citizens.
