Australia sol and modl list question?

I live in the USA and would like to live and work
in Australia.I know you have to have a job that is
on the sol list modl list or you have a employer
sponsor you.my job is not on any of those list but
i seen joiner and solid plasterer is.if i wanted to
take up a trade in one of them would i have to already
be in that trade or could i go over to Australia and
learn it.
