I wasnt a fan of George W. Bush until...?
Answer:
georgie is worse then the media portrays him. personally, I'd round up every illegal immigrant, put then in ten prisons for a few years, take everything they own, and ship them all back to whatever country they came from. their nothing but CRIMINALS who voluntarily and willfully broke our laws, why would we want to reward them?
I think the fine that he's proposing on the illegals should be given to the immigrants that went through the bureaucratic crap. People are distancing themselves from GWB now since he's political poison. Americans don't care about the substance of the issues, but rather perceived politics.
I SUPPORT G. BUSH 100% until the immigration bill.
I friggin hate this bill. i want the illegal immigrants OUT! and punished. I want them to have to pay ALL THE TAXES they didnt while they were here. THEY RUIN AMERICA!
but i still like bush, but hate the bill. He needs to quit.
He is being derelict in his duty not to enforce previous laws and secure the border. The new bill is not needed.
Thats the only thing that I DO support. Well, that and his social security proposal.
No George is not as bad as the media makes him out, he's worse. No I don't support his bill, in any sense. what should be changed about it...all illegals should be deported immediately!
Wow...we are completely opposite.I used to like him until this immigration thing showed his true colors!- Why would an American fight in favor of citizens of another country, even more so than he fights for Americans..you gotta be joshing me!!
No, I do not support the immigration bill. These people came here illegally and they ALL need to be sent back. And then and only then can they apply for legal entry into the country.
I would just scrap the bill and deport everyone.
And for those who talk about not separating families, we can keep them together if we send them all back. There are tons of legal immigrants waiting for their family to be allowed here(including one of my family) and to give others special treatment just because they can climb a fence is unfair.
And plus these people are maliced against americans. One of my family teaches english as a second language and the people in her class say that they are illegal and tell her that they are cheating the system. And then in addition they say they want to kill americans and many anti-amnesty figures.
This is scarier than the terrorists if you ask me because these people are living in our country and they could care less about the USA and you and me.
Immigration he may have some good points on. I'm not sure why congress is necessarily against it as I haven't followed their argument for it. But over all I am not a fan of Bush. He seems to willful, and appears to make his decisions in his own personal interest and that of the members of his office, rather then that of the American people. We are a country built on the principal of "for the people and by the people" I believe that should be taken with respect and considered above his own agenda.
I just had a thought..why not secure the boarders first and enforce the laws they promised they would back in 1985? Dump the new bill totally except after all illegals are deported we could have a guest workers program. But that is too sane to ever become reality. We welcome more legal immigrants in every year then any other country. That is all we can handle and still have a great country. Illegals will tear this country down to a 3rd world status because that is all they know.
People who are scared of brown-skinned people always come up with SOME reason to keep them at arm's length. That's all Bush is doing with his bill, and I support neither the bill nor Bush.
If it matters, I'm white.
you support bush 100%?
what the hell country are you living in?
c'mon there is on way that illegal immigrants could ever be rounded up and deported it is not feasible.
most are just hard working people who want to better their lives for their families - like many of our ancestors who immigrated here.
many pay taxes, there is a whole system within the IRS where people anonymously pay income tax, and millions of dollars in taxes have mismatching names and ssn- often an indication of illegal immigration.
people travel thousands of miles, risk their lives and many die in their effort to come here and work hard, could you do that? or do we all take our freedom and stability for granted?
also by the second and third generation (this has been seen in other waves of immigration as well throughout our history) upwards of 95% speak English. Government assisted language classes have waiting lists of months and years.
what are you so scared of?
american culture has never been static.
He's scrambling to leave a legacy, and this isn't it.
NO to Amnesty.
Fax
and Phone your Legislators.
Tell them you WILL vote them out.
The key word you used is "support"! American citizens are so, so tired of supporting everyone but American citizens. Enough is enough... I hate Bush, because he isn't willing to support his own people. He is too generous to undeserving people. Especially "illegal" Mexicans that have the easiest access to our wonderful country. I can't wait until Bush is finally gets his stubborn azz out of office, so that the war in Iraq can finally end & we can end this invasion of illegal aliens!
I agree with you. The sad part is that this is the only smart thing that Bush has done during his presidency. Republicans will support him attacking a country that had nothing to do with 9/11, they support him for his lack of a timely response to the Katrina disaster, they support him for having torture camps all over the world, but heaven forbid he tries to make a few illegals legal in this country...sad, I tell you.
Bush is worse than the media makes him out to be.
Deport the illegals and senor Jorge with them.
I use to support him but since he's been trying to shove this pile of crap down our throats, I think he's a total idiot and a sell-out. I think he should be impeached for not defending our country against its enemies and invaders!
I am strongly against amnesty of any kind. Congress, and wossie Bush, claim it's not amnesty but it is! When a person gets forgiven for illegal acts and is granted citizenship for next to nothing, that's amnesty.
$5,000 for all the money that's been spent on them? What a joke! In addition, if the illegals just want to become legal and don't apply for citizenship, they don't owe a penny!
Changes to the amnesty bill - shred it! The only positive part might be the border security. However, I am really sure they will put that as a high priority for their agenda if this is passed - NOT! The 1986 amnesty bill had security measures in it and nothing has been done in 21 years. WHERE'S THE FENCE?
Kill the bill! Enforce our current laws! We don't need new laws! Jail the employers to dry up the job market! Build the fence!
No. Take out all of the boilerplate and let someone else draft it. Then start building in the points. Then we might have something to work with.
I had issues with points when I read the 'write ups' in the paper, but when I read the bill I realized that a good deal of thought had been put into warping it, and it needs to be scrapped altogether.
For starters, it has a caveat for every enforcement provision, many of which don't even apply to people from 'contiguous countries', it has a gratuitous 'sense of congress to excellerate the Security and Prosperity Partnership' he never brought to Congress to discuss to begin with..It would take a lot of pages to say everything wrong with it. It cuts the fence in half that is already required by law and cuts required border patrol, yet the White House says, and all the press repeats, that it 'enhances border security'.
It seems outright dishonest.
I think we need a blank pad of paper, to start over.
I voted for him and have supported him UNTILthis bill. Its rediculous how much he loves these people that hate him so much. I just don't get why he is trying to help them so much.
I do not support amnesty for any criminal. If amnesty is given illegal aliens then I want amnesty when I do not pay my taxes, when I fail to appear in court on a traffic violation, when I don't register my car, or get caught sleeping in the park. I pay taxes and I support our laws; I find it difficult to support giving amnesty to people who have been breaking our laws everyday they have been in the United States! Rumors were out following our last election (that returned Bush to office) that Bush supporters registered and coached a great number of people who could not read to mark their ballot for Bush. That rumor also indicated a Pay Off from Bush would be coming; is this amnesty the pay off?
