Many countries will allow Americans to stay for less than 90 days without a visa.
Countries use visas to control who can enter their territory and for how long. This can be a good thing. For instance, would you really want all iraqis to be able to visit the US visa-free? Negative!
If you want to visit these countries, then you will have to get a visa. Its not fun, but it is a requirement, no way around it.

Nice story. A few things are missing and when you travel it is the little things that get you detained until resolved. Where are you from, where are you going, and who or where are you staying with. What is your travel plan.
Travelling to any country is no longer fun after the 9/11 incident even after u have obtained the VISA. Take the US for example, most countries have to get a VISA & the staff there can be so darn nasty & arrogant when u r called for the interview u wished they were taken out of this world. This is not all, the officer can tell my daughter & grandchildren that , "WHY DONT U GO TO VIETNAM FOR THE VACATION?" what sort of people are americans. They will take your US$100/= visa fees & then they will not return this to u afer they reject u?? Just think $100 x 500 applications per day = $50,000 x 24 days = $1,200,000 x 12 months = $14,400,000 . US staff can live off this fees for the whole year in whichever country they are in if they are collecting such sums.
Well, is that daylight robbery or what do u call this? How hardup can the USA be while poorer nations do not ask this much visa fees from them & what have u to say? most asian countries allow the americans to enter free or a small fee of $10 - 30/= so what is this compared to US askingfor US$100/= in that country they are located in??
Taiwan used to charge $20/= then increased to $100/ = & that was when i went & shouted at them till the Director of the centre called for me. I told him I will not want my daughter to stay only 2 weeks in Taipeh to visit my older daughter for the current $100/= visa fees. It cost too much for this & the answer he gave me was,,," LOOK HERE IT IS OUR EMBASSY ,,," , U know what my reply was, "YOU ARE NOT AN EMBASSY & U R NOT RECOGNISED AS ONE HERE". He shut his yak after I had corrected him & I told him my daughter is not "hopping into a bus & back costing $1, 900 for the ticket ". I told him my daughter does not speak the language if he had any ideas of young girls going to Taiwan to prostitute. I made him call up my daughters husband to verify the family they are dealing with ,,,,he finally took the stamp & extended the stay. NOW u can enter taiwan for free 180 days,,,,why?? Because less peopel are goign to Taiwan,,,,& so their economy is slowing down . So this is to let most countries know , dont be too arrogant & liek now, the USA is not what u would like to think, it is going down the drain & more to come.
The the system is so stupid & have not changed till today, can u imagine entering the US & they have no record of people going out at all?? I think after 9/11 that is now not the case,,,maybe?? Immigration offcers & staff are the most IGNORANT bunch & worst, the philippino immigrant is the officer or staff at counter & GUESS WHAT? That chap is so vindictive that he thinks he is GOD & it is up to him to allow u to enter the USA. Have u been detained & then have to sign a paper that fool types out & it is a lie written on the paper?? Did u know americans are truly NAZI BRAINED PEOPLE still looming in the USA?? did u know they will leave u with no food nor sleep in the airport for days if u dont leave on the plane u came from?? Did u know u wont be allowed to go back & get ur return air ticket ?? Now, do u call the USA a country worth going to even for any business now?? Think again!! The average american is BROKE & HAS NO TWO CENTS TO RUB,,,,CHINA & INDIA HAS 30% OF RICH & OUT OF THAT 1 BILLION CAN U THINK OF SELLING TO THAT POPULATION ASSURING U OF SALES???
That should tell about USA & compared to some countries for VISA'S. Singapore & Malaysia are the best places to go to for a slow & quite & food filled holiday. S'pore is clean but food is not that great. Too much sugar is added into savoury foods. Malaysia is the best for all the above & most of all the most hospitable & helpful (cabbies need to be told off & complained about though for fleecing people).
If you are a caucasian why dont you get out of the country u r from & see asia & lean about people of other nationalities? It makes u a better person.
