I had suggested before in this forum to our own Illegal immigrant supporters here in the US, that if they are so gung ho about threse people just needing a better life and that they are all good people, then why dont all of the supporters start sponsering these illegals? Why dont they open their homes?

I remember in the 60's when council housing was still available that the council tried a similar thing. Lets move some 'bad tenants' into good areas and their behaviour should improve when they live and are 'adopted' by 'good tenants'
No prizes for guessing what happened next but I will confirm that the so called bad tenants still would not pay their rent, they still vandalised the areas. The so called good tenants either gave up and joined the bad tenants or moved out all together. Now I am not suggesting that these poor people who are estranged from their own country would behave in such a manner but I really truly cannot see what would be gained by this. If you want to educate UK citizens then make a documentary, go around the schools, have social and educational events by all means but 'adoption schemes' where people will not even likely have a common language, no...
