Can Canadians apply for a university-level teaching job in the US?

I've heard Canadian citizens who have PhD's can apply for jobs in the US and are eligible to work in the US. They are also entitled to a green card/work permit. Is this true? I think it has something to do with NAFTA?

Answer:
It has to do with need if there is need in your area. Start with the US Immigration service web page, but mostly you will need a university to sponsor you. Universities are for education, including from different points of view. They often have 'foreign' professors.

Good luck!
Well, sure. No reason a Canadian couldn't work in the US and A, at just about any job. You'll need to have your employer work the Work Visa stuff though. But if they want you bad enough, shouldn't be a huge hurdle.
Good Luck.
Why would you want to? Americans have no desire to be educated. If they receive the rightful grade they whine and ***** until it becomes an A. There is a reason American is importing workers. And I assure you that it is not because American universities can produce them.
