My friend is from UK and here she wants to know how she can stay here to work?

Actually i don't really know much (i am also from the UK), other than its not easy to get a green card unless she can find a company to sponsor her?
What about if she tryed being a live-in nanny? She could go through a British agency - but i don't know if she could chose where in the US she would work though.
I hope she works something out.
