Duncan Hunter for President in 2008? The more I read, the better I like, and he is getting national attention
Hunter, the former chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, opposes abortion and free trade policies that he says are promoting massive trade deficits and lopsided global relationships. He also has strong opinions on creating tough immigration reforms to tighten up illegal border crossings.
The representative from San Diego County told FOXNews.com that he is being embraced by conservatives who aren't thrilled with the prospects of McCain or former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani as their nominee.
"I think my message uniquely resonates with the American people at this point in history," said Hunter, 59, who is in his 14th term representing California's 52nd District. "We'll see if I can attract a crowd."

He can be a factor. The 08 election will be very exciting. Although I like Tancredo or Paul if they run third party but I think illegal immigration is a very key issue for the 08 election. Hunter can run as a Republican or maybe as an independent. The question is will the center-right vote be split to elect a Democrat? If so, then I think we'll see the Republicans going through a phase of reform or the rise of the Libertarian and/or Constitution parties. Although I'm a Democrat I think that we have to stop ignoring illegal immigration and it worrys me alot.

Hey I'll vote for however supports deportation of illegals and no to amnesty. If that's him he's got my vote. McCain and jewel boy no thank you. Duncan McCloud would be cool too.
