I know of a family who came illegally as well.Their daughters, all four of them, graduated from university, PAID by their parents, no hand outs, with honors, they all work now, being sponsored by their employers, and now two of them have doctorates.If this trend continues, you are right, many will become affluent .I am not threatened by this, I welcome people here working hard and trying to make this country better.But NO ONE ever points out these type of immigrants.Why? Because they put us Americans to shame...With all the opportunities in this country, our own people do not take advantage of this, its just sad, instead they choose to demonize these immigrants.

Sorry, but our immigration laws disagree with you and so do the vast majority of Americans. Have you seen the polls lately? Look em up. About 85% of Americans don't want illegal aliens here in America. Therefore, in 2050 I see a whole crap load of angry, hard working Americans taking up arms to protect our laws, our borders and our sovereignty.
Yeah, all those illegals going to school on our tax dollar makes us even more angry.
Are you serious, you are a school teacher and you don't recognize the establishment of the United States? Any one who came after was not a citizen unless they went through the immigration process. We do as a nation have prior ownership to this land. If they don't have that little piece of paper they're criminals! I'm glad that my son is out of school if that's the drivel you're pandering.

Mexican Americans only ?? You're either ill informed or terribly naive. There are far more Indians, Chinese, Japanese, and Europeans lined up at the border waiting to enter this country. The Middle East is a fiery hot bed and will continue to be for many years .. thousands and thousands there are looking to immigrate to the USA. Your Mexican friends damn sure better have that coveted " little piece of paper" or they'll be run over like a steam roller by immigrants of another type who will not come here to simply pick lettuce or peaches.

Just from reading this I don't believe you are a school teacher, you made too many errors in what you wrote.
Well all I can say is that I certainly hope you are not teaching law, ethics or even economics.
If you are a teacher then you should have first hand knowledge of the incredible harm that is being done to public school systems trying to scramble to provide a place for the children of illegals...
You should also be very aware of the extra expense that comes with providing an education for the children of illegal immigrants, and you should be very aware that the non English speaking students slow down the educational process to such a degree that in some places you must pay for private schooling for your citizen child.
Do you have the "piece of paper" that proves you are a certified teacher? But hey its just a "piece of paper" who needs it right?
I know I am not going to be here, but how much poverty can one country import before it breaks under the weight. No doubt many immigrates both illegal and legal will do well, but what about the 50% of hispancic in Calforian that drop out of high school.

What I predict for the year 2050 is that all you who came here illegally, will be illegally going somewhere else after having degenerated America to the third world status country from whence you came. You say you are a Mexican-American - Bullsh*t, you're a Mexican because you never understood that American part of the equation. You say we will have leaders of all nationalities -Bulllsh*t, once the majority in this country is Mexican, that's the only nationality we'll have in leadership. You say "hated immigrants."
