Well, if we got rid of illegal immigrants then there would be more jobs for us. It might influence the economy price wise a little bit, but the government makes sure that the poor stay poor and the rich rich, so all in all. prices will continue to go up regardless because our government is behind it. It's all part of the "control the masses" campaign they've had for a hundred years in conjunction with the public education system that continues to brainwash the kids.

As a foreman in the construction industry, I ponder this a lot. I feel iit would definitely drive up prices of almost every product or service, but also wages would increase (at least in my field) offsetting the effect. All this is speculation and no answer to this question would be fact.

Not really. Those that are for making these people legal will use any lame excuse they can come up with. I have no problem with those people working here, I just think they should have a work permit and they should pay taxes and a guest worker tax. They do not get a SSN, they get a special tax number indicative that they are a foreign working here on special permit. They are also not eligible for our social program and have to show proof of health insurance. Any crimes what so ever get them deported.
illegal labor has no effect on end products, because the people hiring illegals are only pocketing the profits and do not pass on the savings to people. They charge as much money as they can get away with.

NO Well has prices come down on anything an has the consumer seen a lower price from illegals working a lower wage, NO Just the employers has made more money. Tax's if they turned them in as they know the illegal has false IDS.The main problem is we have to pay all the social services for them.So where is the savings? It cost more to have them here.
I've thought of this myself and you make absolute sense. I think that if legal residents or US Citizens had these jobs instead of being unemployed, more money would circulate, the more money circulates the better the economy gets. Now, it would not be fair if someone came here illegally, stayed with permission of the government and got to keep the same job they had before and were working in, illegally.
If the US deports all illegal aliens the resultant rise in prices IS NOT A THEORY BUT A CERTAIN RESULT.
First all farm produce prices will rise dramatically because few if any Americans want to do the horrid back breaking long hour days at slave wages.
Next thousands of little to moderatetly sized companies will go bankrupt as all these millions of consumers vapourize.
Next thousands of teachers and thousands in other propfessions and jobs will be layed off for lack of "bodies"
No,the knee jerk American response to not granting amnesty will one day smack these Americans right across their face and pocket books as it should.
The good news of course ,is that given the rank hypocricy of many Americans and politicians ,very few of these aliens will be deported but left in limbo in the US to be further exploited ,used and abused doing the dirt jobs most Americans will not do.
So these people who stopped amnesty and justice to the aliens,will win again as without any mass deportation thesec users/abusers can continue their using and abusing especially the large corporations and farms.
Actually I think that prices in general would go down as the costs of maintaining these folks is prohibitively expensive.
The majority of the jobs they are doing were called starter jobs years ago or jobs that you did part time or as a student or retiree.Working at Mc Donalds was not supposed to raise your family on.Picking strawberries or oranges were done by a bit of both and people with lesser education who were very hard workers.If the Illegals left , think how many jobs that would open up for many Americans displaced by them, all the people I mentioned before would be able to earn money again.....
The US is deporting illegals as fast as they can. They cannot keep up with the influx. If we made it more difficult to hire illegal aliens, then prices would go up.

Your theory is correct..actually it should be called a fact. Besides the fact that having illegal immigrants in the USA makes things more expensive for citizens, it is immoral. It is wrong to try to be part of a country if you do not respect it enough to obey the laws.
All illegal immigrants...every single one of them...should be deported. There is a poem at the base of the Statue of Liberty that says, "Bring me your tired..." etc. But they were supposed to come in the legal way!

No, it would just mean that even more of our food would be imported since the farmers couldn't compete with the lower priced, foreign goods. That is, unless tariffs were enacted. Then prices would skyrocket. More Americans out of work, higher unemployment, etc would be the result (without tariffs).
