Who said they were rich? My friends live in a trailer park . But it cost them like $150,00 to buy the lot and triple-wide. There are all different levels of trailer parks. Some are for retirees, some don't allow children. The one my friends live in don't allow rentals.

You are ignorant. They are in every state, white, black, retired people, single moms live in them. They can be befter than many apartments. THey are made better than some apartments now. You can buy the land beneath them and sell them for a profit. They are often less than rent and you can rent them out for income.

A mobile home is something some lower middle class and poor people in the US live in because that is what they can afford.
Not all people who live in mobile homes live in trailer parks either.
A stall in a trailer park tends to be less expensive than buying a piece of land to put the trailer on.
Not to mention that in many urban areas zoning will keep someone from being able to place a mobile home just any where.
The owners of the mobile home can only place the trailer in a trailer park in these urban areas.
Some of the very people on here who support illegal aliens live in a trailer. Better watch how hard you swing that hatred, you might take out some of your own.
Some people feel that it shows more substance of character to live within their means than to live on credit from paycheck to paycheck just to appear as though they are wealthy or at least better off than they are. This type of person is not apt to need Prozac. Some people look down on these types, but I find them to be the salt of the earth and actually happier than the upward spiral types. Once the ladder climbers reach their goal, they often look back with regret on what they missed in their lives. It really does take all kinds to make the world go around.
Hey don't badmouth trailer parks ,, that is how I began my life back in the 50's. Parents just living and taking responsiblity for a child or children. So happens that it was in Illinois but when I was 5 we hooked the old trailer and came down south to a more decent part of living(so glad). I never lived in a brick house till I was 12. Rich you say! We weren't rich just surviving. You have to do what you have to do in today's world to survive, be it trailer parks or what ever. I didnt turn out that bad and I have a comfortable modest brick home and so do my children. I am married with a hard working husband which I might add we are white and born in America. Don't preach what you don't know.

There is nothing wrong with living in a mobile home. Some are nicer than houses and it's not the house that makes a man. We have a ghetto (just like everyone has in their town, or city). It's predominately Latino. They live in houses that my granny's chickens wouldn't dwell in. Weeds up waist high, cars on blocks on the side of the house, people parking their jacked up, fat rimmed trucks and SUVs right up in the yard... Which makes me wonder. Their vehicles are often times much nicer than the shacks they live in? Hey! I'll take a trailer home and a trailer park any day over that mess!

I think they prefer it. I know it's about the least expensive way in our country to have a place that is yours, not an apartment, and have a single dwelling place. What difference would that make to anyone? Contrary to popular belief, not everyone in America is rich, are you getting that? Let the rest of the world know, okay? But they are free and that's what counts.
Life in a Trailer Park would be living like Royalty to Mexicans. Trailer Parks are a step up the socio-economic ladder to them.
