How to apply for HSMP entry clearance?
I got my HSMP approved last month. I would like to get my (HSMP) entry clearance. Also I would like to make my spouse as my dependent under the HSMP visa.
I learned from home office that I have to go back to my home country to apply for EC, since 'work permit dependents' are not allowed to do an in-country switching.
what are the documents I need to submit as supporting evidence for EC? Can my spouse (who is in UK) can aplly together with me in the same form while I apply for EC from India? Is integra check of the documents mandatory?
I cannot get more than two weeks leave from my current employer to go back to india and apply for EC. Is it likely to get an EC application approved within 2 weeks ( 10 working days to be precise- excluding the weekends)?
Many thanks in advance
Answer:
Entry clearance visa are only available from the British Embassy of your country of birth.
Documents you will need to produce.
Yours and your wife's birth and marriage certificate.
Your wife's bank details to prove you have savings and enough regular money coming in to support yourselves.
A letter from your landlord stating he is happy for you to stay at the address with your wife.
It is handy to have a financial backer in the UK who will be responsible if money becomes a problem. A letter stating this would be a good idea. (we used my parents).
Basically that's about it.
When my husband got his EC it was in the USA. He walked into the office and filed his paperwork before 10am and collected his EC visa after 4pm THE SAME DAY.
Hope that helps?
