Amnesty is creating a permanent underclass of people who havent, and wont graduate high school. It is a statistically proven fact that immigrants graduate high school at less than 50%. This provides competition for the lower job market and allows wages to be lowered. People fight for low paying jobs rather than fighting to increase wages.
It will also encourage MORE immigrants to enter illegally and take up more fruit picking and fast food jobs.

Did the illegal alien criminals come here by choice? Did the slaves come here by choice?
Can the illegal alien criminals leave anytime they want to? Were slaves able to leave?
Do illegal alien criminals get paid something for their work? Were slaves paid anything?

Amnesty is a general pardon granted by a government, especially for political offenses. I am sorry but I do not see the connection unless it means those who are granted amnesty must work at inhuman living wages, if wages at all, or if they must pay a high amount for said "favour" of amnesty.
How can amnesty be considered slavery? A slave is the property of another, politically and socially and a lower level status than the mass of people, and performs compulsory labour. I suppose that would make illegal aliens lower status.
I would think that the $5000 in fees and fines for undocumented immigrants to have their status adjusted to lawful permanent residence would be nothing short of slavery because, considering the salaries most earn, such a large sum would be prohibitive.

Chances are they are working illegally and living on less than subsistence levels so are already wage slaves even if they could just up and leave, which most decent immigrants cannot do because they are supporting kin back home.
