We can support the Minutemen or send Congress members like Tancredo what we want to do and how we want to do it. Illegals do the low-waged jobs because the employers are too concerned about their profits. We can also put any employer that hires illegals in the slammer and have them pay a fat and juicy fine. If somebody offers me a job that illegals usually do (when i come back), I'll take the job. I'm for free market but not capitalism because if illegals do unwanted jobs, it's like as if they're slaves. Remember to also vote for any Presidential and Congressional candidate in 08 that favors stopping illegal immigration (Tancredo, Hunter, Paul, etc.) because you can count on it that illegal immigration will be the important issue of the 08 election.

I agree with "tcbtoday" to a large extent, why is there so much energy given to provide Spanish speakers an easy way to get around in America....not to put legal Spanish speakers down, we can support them...but it seems we are supporting mainly the illegals by doing it
I live near Worthington, MN where 600 illegals were arrested...the next Monday, local Minnesotans were lined up around the block to get the jobs...so don't tell me that Americans are unwilling to work...It's the companies who prefer to hire illegals, because they are so easy to push around...it's a form of slavery
Get all the lazy Americans who don't have jobs to do they jobs the illegal immigrants are doing. The only reason illegals come to the US is to work at the tens of thousands of jobs that lazy Americans won't do. If you filled those jobs with Americans the illegals immigrants would stay in their home countries. Unfortunatly there are tens of thousands of lazy Americans.

That's about all you can really do legally. Don't eat Mexican food. Stay away from people who you think are illegals if you can do such a thing. Have responsible conversations with others around you with facts and figures concerning immigration/illlegal and otherwise. Get other folks thinking about such an issue. Support comes out of the corners sometimes. I have noticed that Amer. are so busy trying to pay their bills, they miss out on other kinda important stuff, thinking our Fed and State folks are going to do a good job. Not! They need guidance and direction and we need to pounce on them when issues like this come up.
We can't complain unless we are bitching about it and they still do nothing effective.

I personally have come to the conclusion that ALL immigration should be backed off to pre 1965 levels. We have too many people in our country now. It's a temporary thing but it needs to be cut back for a bit. Then, once all our faculties are in oreder again, we can admit more LEGALLY. Currently we let in a million a year. That doubles our population every 10 years. x 4 by 2030. We can hardly handle what we have now!

Government is getting taxes up front state and local communities are absorbing the health care. It is getting complicated and I think I have missed more than I mentioned. The Idea I have is to demand by law that all our workers have health care and the employee must pay something including co-pays,Tax refunds paid only to citizens and filling for five years before an attempt for citizenship is made. The people of this country should buy as many products as we can from foreign countries to encourage their economy and make their life better. I do not see a way to eliminate all tariff charges to imports if you trade with us it should be equal. The class struggle is the biggest issue. I do not feel inclined to sneak into Mexico. It is just not that safe for an American. I do not know where you have found the fact that illegal immigrants are killing more than terrorist but the residency issue has a lot to do with Identification and it is for sale from the TV I've been watching.

It doesn't have to be incredibly creative. Cut off all benefits, card ID at schools and hospitals and where all other services are given, enforce against employers, and raid employment often.

As people come to USA, they add value to US economy. Specially research. almost 80% of Imigrants are highly educated and well qualified. The do reseach in US laboratories and do some good thing for present and future generation.
As India, I do wish to remember Mr. Khurana who got the Nobel price in medicin while working in USA. Late Ms. Kalpana Chawla or Ms. Sunita Williams are present day examples of Good immigrants. Major part of USA medical work force as well as IT, are indians at least top most cadre. One of My friends uncle gave US$10 Million donation to Univercity in Florida.
