The reset is done when you visit your home country. Otherwise the clock ticks.
Hope this helps.

Then answer is NO!
They won't give u any extension or give u a new I94 card.. For example if you have 10 days left from ur orginal 90 day i94 card, then u just get only the 10 days.. they won't stamp u agaiin in Canada while entering the US. I tried that seven years back.. two times.. it didnt' work ha ha.. so go back to your country or apply for an extension here showing a valid reason.
hi, the answer is no. If it was the other way around, ie you being USA cit and trying to exit and entry Uk on your 6 months stamp, you will be refused entry at your 2nd attempt.
Go back to Scotland and reapply. Usa is strict and tough country, so I don't think you would get away with it!
If you come to the USA and leave to go to Canada and return the time in Canada counts as time in the USA. Note not all visa's will allow more than one entry on them. I had a fraternity brother who had a student visa at NMSU who went across the border to Mexico and they would not let him back across the border cause his visa was a single entry visa.
