It is a free market. Home Depot is just allowing its customers with on-site labor and supplies all in one trip.

Agreed. Personally, I'm in favor of some form of amnesty and a guest worker program.
But as long as the law is the way it is, this is just plain idiotic.
It wouldn't be a problem if no one hired them. But, the fact is people don't like paying decent livable wages to legal workers and will instead exploit illegal ones.
I don't know about forcing them but its generally a good idea to make them all go to one area around the store because other than that if they are everywhere it is bad for business to have alot of men loitering around your store. If I was a business owner of a home improvement store I think I would so it to make my store safer and looking less like a place to hang out.
Because the Republican leadership is working for the corporations not the people and the party as a whole has worked hard to turn "We the People" into "We the Corporation" The corporations want the illegals for cheap labor and to bring down the wage scale for the rest of us.
yes, I saw a report on TV, that someone, I don't know if it was the government, or law suit, that home Depot has building housing for day labors, mostly illegals, with bathrooms, and legal help, this need to be stopped
The Home Depots I've been to here in Arizona (only about 3) don't allow them to hang out in front of the store. Instead they wait by the curb right next to the store. I think they've already started to think about how dozens of illegals hanging out in front of their store waiting for employment makes them look.

Because it is an 'impact' on the community when a Home Depot moves in that wasn't there before it moved in. Local land use agencies have a right to ask that they mitigate their impacts just as they do with environmental impacts, traffic impacts, etc. They bring in so much sales tax they have a lot of bargaining power with local governments. They aren't defenseless. And how would you feel if you had a business there and people stayed away because of all of the day laborers, and no bathroom facilities or services?
The federal government has no place in the debate.
And if Home Depot in any way discouraged them from gathering, it wouldn't be an impact to begin with. Home Depot just doesn't like that mitigation option.

Because our government is a compassionate and humane government that couldn't stand the thought of people suffering in heat or bad weather when it could potentially harm them.even if they are illegals our gov feels like they should still be treated like humans.
